The posting

Location: El Segundo, CA (Hybrid, 2-3 days on-site) Reports to: Head of Product Development Salary Range: $120,000 to $130,000 (DOE)

About Us:

NOYZ is a first-of it’s-kind fine fragrance house born in LA. Fragrances fueled by feelings, not fantasies are made with unconventional, clean ingredients and innovative formats. Always rooted in real, raw and authentic storytelling. We’re flipping the script on the category, replacing perfection with personality and industry rules with a bit of rebellion. Refinery 29 said it best, “NOYZ is the brand for the cool kids who don’t want to smell like everyone else.”

Backed by Beach House Group — the powerhouse behind BÉIS by Shay Mitchell, Pattern by Tracee Ellis Ross, and florence by mills — NOYZ is the next category-defining brand. Based in Los Angeles with offices in El Segundo, our team is built for impact, bringing together brilliant minds to push boundaries and challenge the status quo.

The 30,000 Foot View:

At NOYZ, we move fast, think big and play where culture is created – not copied. This is a team that embraces creative freedom and storytelling, while having fun doing things differently.

We move at the speed of culture, obsess over the details, and bring standout products to market. Our Product Development team is small, close-knit, and high-impact. The Senior Manager, Product Development plays a critical role in driving NOYZ’s fragrance innovation and new product pipeline from brief to launch. Working hand in hand with the Head of Product Development, this individual helps lead the development process end to end, briefing new formulas, managing cross-functional timelines, contract manufacturer and supplier relationships, and testing and regulatory processes. This role partners directly with leadership to execute NOYZ’s three-year innovation pipeline, turning strategy into standout launches. It operates with a high degree of independence and leadership within a small, fast-moving team, and is well suited to an experienced developer who is confident taking the lead and bringing new products to life.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Product Development & Innovation

  • Work closely with leadership and the team to support new formula and packaging initiatives
  • Drive fragrance innovation and new launches through every stage: brief, sourcing, formulation, testing, packaging, and commercialization
  • Partner with the Head of Product Development on the innovation roadmap, category strategy, and launch calendar, helping keep priorities moving day to day
  • Organize submissions, timelines, and feedback rounds
  • Partner closely with Project Management on NPD meetings and pipeline reporting, including agenda setting, cross-functional alignment, and weekly progress recaps
  • Track competitive launches, ingredient and scent trends, and bring new product and category opportunities to the table
  • Spearhead in-office organization, building and maintaining a physical system for samples, components, and development materials

Formulation, Testing & Regulatory

  • Lead contract manufacturers, labs, and component suppliers on formulation, stability, compatibility, and scale-up
  • Manage safety, clinical, and consumer testing, flagging risks early to protect launch schedules
  • Partner on claims substantiation, ingredient compliance, and regulatory submissions with third-party compliance partners

Packaging Development

  • Lead packaging development from initial brief through final approval, partnering with the Head of Product Development on new packaging concepts and innovation
  • Work with component suppliers on development, sampling, decoration, and production readiness, tracking every milestone
  • Manage packaging compatibility and transit testing alongside formula testing to protect launch schedules
  • Support the artwork and proofing process with Creative, ensuring final files meet spec, brand standards, and compliance requirements

Timelines & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Help manage and maintain timelines across multiple concurrent projects, proactively problem-solving to keep launches on track
  • Bring a no-job-too-big-or-too-small mentality, pitching in wherever needed
  • Request, file, and maintain all supplier and component quotes, helping leadership build COGS and track pricing across projects

The Uniquely Celebrated Skills As:

  • A confident leader who takes the lead on launches and holds partners accountable without being chased
  • A curious innovator who stays ahead of ingredient, scent, and category trends
  • An energized self-starter who gets excited by a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and loves seeing big ideas come to life quickly
  • An adaptable sprinter who brings urgency, pace, and agility to a fast-moving, early-stage brand
  • An end-to-end owner who sees the full picture, from first brief to shelf, and keeps every moving piece on track
  • A strategic partner who works hand in hand with the Head of Product Development, but brings a clear point of view to the table
  • A calm problem-solver who juggles many launches at once and turns roadblocks into solutions
  • A clear communicator who presents confidently to leadership and keeps cross-functional partners aligned

What We Offer That’s Uniquely NOYZ:

  • A rare chance to shape a brand from its earliest inflection point.
  • Operational freedom
  • A fast-paced, no-BS environment that values experimenting, ambition, and connection

The Must-Haves:

  • 6–8+ years in product development at a beauty, fragrance, or skincare, with multiple launches owned end to end
  • Well-rounded product development experience across categories (fragrance, skincare, body care and beyond); experience working directly with fragrance houses and evaluating fragrance across multiple formats a plus
  • Hands-on experience developing skincare and body care, including formulation, stability, and testing; color cosmetics experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of cosmetic regulations, IFRA standards, and claims substantiation
  • Strong existing relationships with labs and contract manufacturers
  • Clean or prestige beauty, indie, or high-growth brand experience a plus
  • Experience building PD processes (stage-gates, brief templates) at a scaling company a plus
  • A ‘No job is too big or too small’ mentality
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
