The posting

Rolling V Bus Corp.

Are you looking for a full-time career that combines meaningful student mentorship with professional driving? This unique dual role allows you to support students’ academic growth during the school day and ensure their safe travel morning and night. We provide the training; you provide the heart.

The Opportunity

This is a collaborative "job-share" position. You will be a dual employee, spending part of your day within the school building and the other part on the road.

  • Competitive Pay: Earn up to $27.00 per hour (based on experience and route).
  • Paid Training: No CDL? No problem. The transportation vendor provides six weeks of comprehensive, paid driver training to get you fully licensed and confident.
  • Many Locations: Liberty, Ellenville, Livingston Manor, Neversink, South Fallsburg, and Walton.

Core Responsibilities

1. Instructional & Campus Support (School-Based)

  • Academic Mentoring: Serve as a para-professional or tutor, providing 1-on-1 or small-group support in classrooms.
  • Student Engagement: Act as an aide, coach, or club advisor to foster a positive school culture.
  • Campus Operations: Support school logistics by assisting in the cafe/cafeteria or monitoring student transitions.
  • Special Needs Support: Assist students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have the tools to succeed during the school day.

2. Student Transportation (Vendor-Based)

  • Safe Passage: Operate a school bus or special needs van, providing reliable transportation for students.
  • Specialized Care: For van routes, ensure students with mobility or behavioral needs are safely secured and comfortable.
  • Vehicle Readiness: Perform standard safety inspections and maintain a clean, welcoming environment on your vehicle.

The Ideal Schedule

  • Morning: Drive your assigned route, welcoming students to their day.
  • Mid-Day: Transition into the school building for teaching, coaching, or cafe support.
  • Afternoon: Rejoin your students for the ride home, serving as a consistent, familiar face.

Qualifications

  • Passion for Youth: A genuine desire to help students succeed in and out of the classroom.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (some college credits preferred for para-professional roles).
  • Driving Record: A clean driving record and the ability to pass a DOT physical and background check.
  • Reliability: Strong time-management skills to transition between school and transportation duties.

Benefits

  • Earn While You Learn: Full pay during your 6-week driver training program.
  • Consistent Hours: A guaranteed full-day schedule without the typical "split-shift" gap.
  • Community Impact: Become one of the most influential adults in a student’s daily routine.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
