The posting

Our Story

BearingPoint is one of Europe's leading independent, partner-led business and technology consultancies. We are recognised as a strategic partner to our clients and operate as a boutique-style community of inspired and passionate experts, focused on innovation, collaboration and customer success.

Our UK Microsoft practice helps organisations turn business needs into tangible technology outcomes using Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, Azure and the wider Microsoft ecosystem. The practice works across advisory, implementation, modernisation, governance, managed services and continuous optimisation.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Consultant to join our growing UK Microsoft team. This is a hands-on, client-facing role focused on the design, development, integration, deployment and support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Power Platform and Copilot solutions.

The successful candidate will combine strong engineering capability with consulting skills and disciplined software delivery. They will work alongside functional consultants, architects, project managers and client teams to build scalable solutions and establish robust tooling, Application Lifecycle Management and release practices.

Role Summary

The Senior Technical Consultant will translate functional designs and business requirements into secure, maintainable technical solutions. The role covers the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery and technical design through development, testing, deployment, transition and production support.

The consultant will provide technical leadership within project teams, mentor colleagues, contribute to client workshops and presales, and help evolve BearingPoint's reusable methods, accelerators and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure and extend Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement solutions across Sales, Customer Service and Customer Insights Journeys.
  • Develop plugins, custom workflow activities, custom APIs, JavaScript or TypeScript extensions, business rules and process automation.
  • Configure Dataverse tables, relationships, security roles, teams, business units and field-level security.

Power Platform Delivery

  • Build model-driven and canvas applications, Power Automate cloud flows, Power Pages solutions and Dataverse components.
  • Create reusable components, custom connectors, PCF controls and solution accelerators where appropriate.
  • Implement error handling, telemetry and operational support patterns across applications and flows.
  • Support governance, environment strategy, Managed Environments and platform administration.

Copilot & Agent Solutions

  • Design and implement Copilot Studio agents and conversational experiences grounded in approved enterprise data.
  • Extend Copilot for Sales, Copilot for Service and embedded Dynamics 365 Copilot capabilities.
  • Connect agents to Dataverse, Power Automate, APIs and line-of-business systems.
  • Implement authentication, access control, data loss prevention and responsible AI guardrails.
  • Contribute to testing, evaluation, monitoring and continuous improvement of AI-enabled solutions.

Integration, Data & Azure Services

  • Design and build integrations using Dataverse APIs, REST services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus and event-driven patterns.
  • Create data migration and integration mappings and support reconciliation and cutover.

  • Configure and maintain development tooling, source control, build automation and deployment tooling.
  • Use the Power Platform CLI, Solution Packager, PowerShell and relevant administration tools to automate repeatable tasks.
  • Establish coding standards, pull-request controls, code-review practices and quality gates.
  • Support automated testing, static analysis, environment configuration and deployment validation.
  • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, asset inventories and knowledge articles.

ALM & Release Management

  • Define and operate ALM processes across development, test, UAT, pre-production and production environments.
  • Build and maintain Azure DevOps or Power Platform deployment pipelines for solutions and configuration.
  • Manage solution packaging, dependencies, environment variables, connection references and managed solution promotion.
  • Plan releases, coordinate deployment windows, manage approvals and communicate release scope, risks and readiness.
  • Maintain versioning, release notes, deployment records, rollback and recovery procedures.
  • Support release rehearsals, production cutover, hypercare and post-implementation review.
  • Troubleshoot failed deployments, layer conflicts, missing dependencies and configuration drift.

Technical Leadership & Client Engagement

  • Work with clients to understand business processes, non-functional requirements and operational constraints.
  • Translate functional specifications into technical designs, estimates, tasks and acceptance criteria.
  • Present technical options, risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentor consultants and developers and provide constructive review and guidance.
  • Support demonstrations, discovery workshops, proposals, bids and delivery estimates.
  • Contribute to BearingPoint knowledge sharing, communities, propositions and reusable delivery assets.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
