Client introduction

Our client is a well-established global bank with a strong presence across Asia Pacific. Our client is hiring for a newly created Network Service Management role within its Technology Service Delivery group. Based in Singapore, the position combines strong technical networking expertise with regional responsibility for service standards, operational efficiency and governance across APAC.

Job responsibilities

  • Drive consistent network standards and operating procedures across APAC, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Maintain clear documentation controls so network records and operational procedures remain accurate, current and ready for audit.
  • Establish and maintain policies and controls for the effective management of regional network services.
  • Oversee network asset lifecycles, including hardware refresh planning, software renewals, maintenance agreements and telecommunications services.
  • Manage network vendors and service providers, holding them accountable for agreed service levels and performance.
  • Lead root cause reviews and drive corrective actions and automation to reduce recurring incidents and operational risk.
  • Work with Information Security and operational teams to oversee patch compliance and timely vulnerability remediation.
  • Ensure new network services have appropriate monitoring, documentation and support arrangements before going live.
  • Define and track service indicators and reliability targets, including SLIs and SLOs, supported by effective monitoring, alerting and dashboards.
  • Coordinate network-related responses to audit, risk and regulatory reviews, and keep senior management informed of service performance and improvement priorities.

Job requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience across network infrastructure, network operations, service management or related technology functions.
  • Experience working within a bank or financial institution is required.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience managing regional or global teams, with the ability to influence stakeholders across indirect reporting lines.
  • Strong technical knowledge of enterprise networking, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, data centres, cloud connectivity and network security.
  • Ability to assess technical issues and challenge recommendations from engineering teams and service providers.
  • Proven experience in vendor management, technology lifecycle planning, service governance and operational improvement.
  • Strong understanding of incident, problem and change management, alongside monitoring, observability and automation.
  • Experience supporting audit, compliance, risk management and regulatory requirements within a large organisation.

The following would be an advantage:

  • Familiarity with ITIL and operational governance frameworks.
  • Experience with network monitoring and observability platforms.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation tools.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, ITIL or CISSP.

Why you should join them

  • Take on a newly created position with regional responsibility across APAC.
  • Help shape network standards and deliver practical improvements in service reliability, efficiency and operational control.
  • Gain visibility with senior technology leadership through service reporting and improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Security, Infrastructure and business teams within an established global bank.

This role suits a technically strong network leader who enjoys taking ownership of service outcomes and driving improvements across regional teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
