Beauregard Equipment – Knox, ME Full Time

Beauregard Equipment is seeking an experienced and motivated Branch Manager to lead our Knox, Maine location. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the branch, including sales, parts, and service, while supporting the growth and development of the branch's sales team.

The Branch Manager's primary role is to lead, coach, and support the outside sales representative, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to successfully manage customers, build relationships, generate opportunities, and close equipment deals. The right candidate will know when to coach from the sidelines and when to step in and help move a deal forward. This position is not about taking over the salesperson's customers—it is about developing a successful salesperson and helping them become more effective.

The Knox branch serves a close-knit agricultural and business community where relationships and reputation matter. The ideal candidate will understand the farming community, be comfortable building relationships with customers, and recognize that in a small community, everyone knows everyone.

For more than 50 years, Beauregard Equipment has been a trusted leader in the construction and agricultural equipment industry, providing premium products, exceptional service, and long-standing partnerships across New England.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Knox branch, including sales, parts, and service
  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop the outside sales representative to help them reach their full sales potential
  • Work alongside the sales representative to identify opportunities, develop sales strategies, and move deals toward closing
  • Coach the sales representative through the sales process, including prospecting, customer conversations, quoting, negotiating, and closing
  • Generate equipment quotes and assist the sales representative with pricing, product selection, trade evaluations, and customer proposals
  • Step in directly with a customer or sales opportunity when your involvement is needed to help close the deal or resolve an issue
  • Teach and encourage the sales representative to take ownership of their customers and sales opportunities rather than taking over the sales process
  • Hold regular discussions with the sales representative regarding pipeline activity, opportunities, follow-up, and sales goals
  • Help identify areas where the sales representative can improve and provide ongoing coaching and accountability
  • Build strong relationships with key agricultural, construction, and business customers in the local community
  • Support the Parts and Service departments in delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Promote communication and teamwork between sales, parts, and service
  • Monitor branch performance and help identify opportunities to increase equipment, parts, and service sales
  • Assist with inventory management and ensure the branch is organized and prepared to serve customers
  • Recruit, train, develop, and motivate branch employees as needed
  • Communicate branch needs, opportunities, and challenges to company leadership
  • Represent Beauregard Equipment professionally within the local farming and business community

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in sales and sales management
  • Previous management or leadership experience
  • Equipment, agricultural, construction, automotive, industrial, or related industry experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of and connection to the local farming and agricultural community
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and develop a salesperson rather than simply managing their activity
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to recognize when to provide coaching and when direct involvement is necessary
  • Strong customer-service mindset and ability to build long-term relationships
  • Comfortable discussing equipment, generating quotes, negotiating, and helping close sales
  • Ability to manage multiple departments and priorities
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and willing to be hands-on in the daily operation of the branch
  • Professional, personable, and comfortable working in a close-knit community where reputation matters
  • Valid driver's license

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary plus commission and incentive opportunities
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Short- and long-term disability coverage
  • Life insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays
  • Ongoing product training and professional development opportunities
  • Established product lines and strong manufacturer partnerships
  • Opportunity for career growth within a growing, family-owned company

Schedule

Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Saturday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM during the spring through fall farming season

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
