Lead Sales Through Customer Trust

Help homeowners understand their options, and help your team deliver results they can stand behind. As Sales Manager at Bee's Plumbing & Heating, you'll lead the sales team across plumbing service, installation, sewer, and electrical. You'll own hiring, coaching, performance management, and daily team leadership, while working with field managers to ensure what we sell matches what we can deliver.

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines team development, sales strategy, and field coaching. You'll improve close rates, average ticket size, and customer satisfaction without sacrificing transparent pricing or pressuring customers into work they don't need.

About Bee's

Bee's Plumbing & Heating serves homeowners throughout greater Seattle. Our services include plumbing repairs, water-heater installation, sewer and drain work, and electrical services. We emphasize upfront pricing, clear explanations, and helping customers make informed decisions. For our team, we emphasize training, professional development, and recognition for strong work.

What You'll Do

Lead and Develop Your Team

  • Hire, onboard, train, schedule, and directly manage the sales team across service lines.
  • Set clear individual and team goals, hold regular one-to-ones and team huddles, and provide ongoing feedback and recognition.
  • Conduct performance reviews, build development plans, and address performance concerns directly and constructively.
  • Manage territory and route assignments, team schedules, and coverage.

Turn Sales Data Into Better Performance

  • Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for plumbing service, installation, sewer, and electrical.
  • Track close rate, average ticket, revenue per call, and membership or maintenance-plan attachment rates.
  • Use ServiceTitan or an equivalent platform to identify trends and coaching opportunities by salesperson and service line.
  • Build clear dashboards and share weekly performance summaries with ownership and leadership.
  • Use performance data to refine pricing presentations and incentive or commission structures, rewarding both results and integrity.

Coach in the Field and Build Consistent Practices

  • Conduct regular ride-alongs across the four service lines, with real-time and post-call coaching.
  • Teach clear, options-based presentations, objection handling, and closing techniques that respect the customer's decision.
  • Lead recurring training on services, financing options, promotions, membership plans, and pricing updates.
  • Develop practical sales scripts, presentation tools, and playbooks, adapting the process to each trade.
  • Maintain sales workflows and periodically review customer interactions and invoices for pricing consistency and process adherence.

Partner With Operations and Protect the Customer Experience

  • Work with the Plumbing Field Operations Manager, Install Manager, Electrical Manager, HVAC Manager, and Operations Manager to align sales priorities with field capacity, scheduling, and technician readiness.
  • Coordinate with dispatch to capture relevant sales opportunities, and with marketing on promotions, financing offers, and campaigns.
  • Resolve gaps between sales commitments and field delivery before they undermine customer trust.
  • Monitor feedback and reviews related to sales interactions, address concerns proactively, and reinforce a customer-first, non-pressure approach.

What You'll Bring

  • At least 3 years of sales management experience with direct responsibility for hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated success developing a sales team and improving results in an in-home sales environment.
  • The ability to turn sales data into practical coaching, clear priorities, and accountable follow-through.
  • Proficiency with field service management or customer relationship management software.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local ride-alongs and site visits.

Helpful, Not Required

  • Experience in residential plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or another home-services trade.
  • Experience leading sales across multiple trades or service lines.
  • ServiceTitan experience.
  • Familiarity with home-services financing programs such as Wisetack or Synchrony.
  • Sales and operations experience that helps you work effectively with field managers.
  • Plumbing service experience.

Where and How You'll Work

The role combines office and administrative work with active field coaching and team leadership. Expect regular local travel throughout the greater Seattle and West Seattle service area, plus occasional early-morning or evening hours for team schedules or training.

Your First 90 Days

  • Meet individually with every sales team member and complete ride-alongs with each.
  • Establish baseline performance metrics by salesperson and service line, and build an initial reporting dashboard.
  • Deliver your first team training session.
  • Build working relationships with the plumbing, installation, electrical, HVAC, and operations managers.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
