The posting

If you are curious & creative, invested in not only your own success but also the growth of others, and believe in building the Great Australian Food Company, then you might be the one for us!

Materials Planner | Docklands, VIC based

The Role

Join the team behind some of Australia's most loved food brands and play a critical role in keeping our manufacturing operations moving. As a Materials Planner, you'll ensure ingredients and packaging arrive where and when they're needed across our Spreads and Cheese network, helping to deliver products to customers on time, every time.

Working closely with suppliers, manufacturing teams and key stakeholders, you'll balance supply, inventory and production requirements, proactively manage risks, and identify opportunities to improve performance. If you enjoy solving complex problems, building strong relationships and making an impact in a fast-paced FMCG environment, this is a role where you'll see the results of your work every day.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate ingredient and packaging replenishment to support successful execution of production plans
  • Manage inventory holdings by balancing production requirements, contractual commitments, supplier constraints and available warehouse capacity
  • Proactively manage materials throughout their lifecycle to minimise obsolete inventory, waste and write-offs
  • Build effective relationships with manufacturing sites and suppliers, acting as the first point of contact for material-related issues
  • Identify and communicate supply risks while contributing to integrated business planning, cost avoidance and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

  • Experience in materials, demand or supply planning, inventory management, or a comparable role within a complex supply environment
  • Strong technical and practical understanding of ERP, ideally M3, though not essential, including effective master data management
  • Excellent planning and time-management skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong and collaborative communicator who can build productive relationships internally and externally
  • Strong problem-solving capability, customer focus and passion for continuous improvement

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
