This role will manage day-to-day optimization, reporting, and performance analysis for several of the most important customer-facing technologies on the site.

The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, highly detail-oriented, and eager to learn. This is an opportunity for someone early in their career to develop expertise in ecommerce search, personalization, AI, A/B testing, and customer experience while having a direct impact on web revenue and conversion.

Key Responsibilities

Onsite Search Optimization

  • Own day-to-day management and optimization of onsite search, including search rules, boosting, slotting, relevancy, and merchandising strategies.
  • Monitor search performance and identify opportunities to improve search results, product discovery, conversion, and revenue.
  • Analyze search reporting to identify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and areas requiring optimization.
  • Partner with merchandising, digital, technology, and analytics teams to ensure search results align with customer intent and business priorities.
  • Develop and execute search optimization strategies based on customer behavior, product performance, seasonal trends, and business objectives.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to test and improve search performance.

AI Shopping Assistant & Digital Optimization Tools

  • Manage and optimize AI-powered shopping experiences, including the AI Shopping Assistant.
  • Own inputs, content, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the experience.
  • Analyze performance to understand customer engagement, conversion, revenue contribution, and overall site impact.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience, expand use cases, and increase adoption and effectiveness.
  • Monitor performance and proactively recommend enhancements, tests, and new opportunities.
  • Stay current on emerging AI and ecommerce optimization capabilities and identify ways to improve the customer journey.

Product Recommendations & Personalization

  • Support the ongoing optimization and performance management of product recommendation experiences across the site.
  • Monitor product recommendation performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement, conversion, revenue, and product discovery.
  • Analyze placement and product performance to identify opportunities for optimization and testing.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that improve the effectiveness of recommendation experiences.
  • Continuously evaluate opportunities to expand and improve recommendation capabilities across the customer journey.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain recurring reporting and performance insights for search, recommendations, and AI shopping experiences.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, performance opportunities, and potential issues.
  • Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for business partners and leadership.
  • Use Excel and other analytical tools to manipulate, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Learn and apply ecommerce KPIs such as conversion rate, revenue per visitor/session, average order value, engagement, revenue contribution, and other site performance metrics.
  • Develop a strong understanding of how onsite discovery and optimization tools contribute to overall ecommerce performance.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in ecommerce, digital merchandising, digital analytics, site optimization, search, marketing, or a related field; equivalent analytical or relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and turn data into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with large datasets, manipulate data, identify trends, and create meaningful analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Curious mindset with a natural desire to understand why something is happening and what can be done to improve it.
  • Comfortable learning new technology, platforms, and tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage
  • multiple priorities and detailed workstreams.
  • Ability to think creatively and "outside the box" when identifying optimization opportunities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners across ecommerce, merchandising, technology, analytics, and marketing.
  • Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, and a willingness to take ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and technology continue to evolve.

The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • Takes ownership
  • Is naturally curious
  • Is highly detail-oriented

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
