Install Manager

Position Summary The Install Manager is responsible for ensuring precise, efficient, and high-quality installation of all cabinetry and related components in the field. Acting as the operational link between manufacturing, scheduling, logistics, and installation crews, this role ensures that projects transition smoothly from production to onsite execution. The Install Manager oversees field operations, validates jobsite readiness, directs installation teams, enforces quality standards, and resolves issues to support successful, on schedule project completion. This role is critical to delivering a professional installation experience and safeguarding the company’s reputation for quality craftsmanship.

Core Responsibilities Pre-Install Planning & Verification • Review complete job packets, manufacturing staging documentation, and engineering shop drawings to ensure all required materials and components are accounted for prior to installation. • Verify jobsite readiness, including flooring installation, paint completion, drywall conditions, mechanical and appliance rough ins, and general site accessibility. • Confirm delivery timeframe, coordinate installation scheduling, and ensure alignment between delivery logistics, jobsite conditions, and labor availability. • Communicate with the Project Manager when jobsite conditions, missing prerequisites, or risk factors could impact installation success.

Installation Oversight & Field Leadership • Direct and supervise installation crews, ensuring they understand scope of work, jobsite expectations, and project specific details. • Verify cabinet layout accuracy, spacing, appliance openings, and alignment with approved design plans and engineering documentation. • Ensure installation of trim, fillers, panels, moldings, and specialty components meets company construction and aesthetic standards. • Provide real time field direction, adjusting workflow or sequencing as needed to maintain quality and schedule adherence. • Foster a professional, safety focused work environment and uphold jobsite conduct expectations.

Quality Control & Field Documentation • Conduct thorough QC walks at installation and service to verify craftsmanship, adherence to standards, and completeness of work. • Identify issues, discrepancies, or material defects and submit SPRs (Service Part Request) with clear documentation and photos. • Maintain accurate records of jobsite progress, delays, conflicts, or conditions that require PM. • Ensure all field issues are documented promptly and communicated to the appropriate internal teams for corrective action. • Support WO (Work Order) completion and work collaboratively to resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.

Required Skills & Knowledge • Extensive field installation experience with cabinetry, millwork, or construction related trades. • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to direct crews, delegate tasks, and maintain jobsite accountability. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under jobsite constraints or unexpected field conditions. • Ability to read and interpret plans, elevations, job packets, and engineering documentation. • Excellent communication skills with installers, internal teams, builders, and homeowners. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and scheduling.

Performance Expectations • Deliver clean, accurate, and professional installations that meet quality and design standards. • Reduce rework and punch items through proactive oversight, detailed QC, and correct installation practices. • Maintain schedule adherence by ensuring jobsite readiness, directing field crews efficiently, and preventing avoidable delays. • Provide timely, clear documentation that supports project tracking, issue resolution, and process improvement.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
