The posting

Function Description: The HR Generalist is responsible for managing and supporting the organization’s recruiting process, including sourcing candidates, interviewing, selection, and onboarding. This position partners closely with hiring managers and the HR team to attract qualified candidates, provide a positive candidate experience, and ensure positions are filled efficiently and effectively. Additionally, this position provides administrative support for key HR processes, including maintaining employee records, HRIS administration, reporting and other employee lifecycle activities. This role supports the organization’s NMLS requirements through enrolling essential employees, maintaining records, administering the annual renewal process and leading the annual audit process. Reports to: Director - Human Resources Supervisory or Managerial Responsibility: None               Contacts: On a routine basis interacts with internal staff, managers, and executives. Auditors, examiners, government agencies, and vendors.  

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

Work Experience:

2-3 years in Human Resources, recruiting experience required

Special Training, Certification or Licensure

PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

Work Environment and Conditions:

Office environment. Travel to branches and outside vendors

  Essential Responsibilities:

Demonstrates Bellco’s Act Nice Behaviors and Core Values in all interactions with members, prospective members, and personnel in other Bellco departments Manages full-cycle recruiting activities, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer, and pre-employment processes.

Partners with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, candidate qualifications, and recruitment priorities. Sources and attracts qualified candidates through job boards, social media, and other appropriate channels. Coordinates and facilitates interviews, ensuring timely communication and a professional, positive candidate and hiring manager experience. Manages communication throughout recruiting process, keeping all parties informed and ensuring progress. Coordinates employment offers and pre-employment background check in accordance with Bellco’s policies. Performs needs analysis in areas of responsibility and develops appropriate strategies to respond to business needs. Provides HRIS support, including generating monthly and special reports, as well as performing data maintenance. Responds to routine HR questions and requests from employees and leaders, appropriately escalating complex or sensitive matters to the HR Manager and Director. Supports HR compliance and recordkeeping processes and assists with audit/exam items. Completes verification of employment forms in accordance with Bellco best practices. Executes NMLS functions, including enrollment, maintenance, annual renewal and audit processes.

Acts as liaison with other departments promoting HR professionalism and confidentiality. Manages process for employee verification of employment.

Manages unemployment claims process and appeals. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
