Role Overview 🚀

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will work across frontend and backend areas that support Benifex employee experience products, and the mobile app.

The team is responsible for operational continuity, technical stability, and continuous improvement, which means the work often involves balancing new development with careful maintenance, refactoring, and production reliability. One day you might be fixing an issue in a mobile app, another improving a frontend framework, and another investigating a backend service or platform integration.

This role suits someone who enjoys complex domains, solving problems, learning new areas, and taking ownership regardless of where a challenge sits. Success in this role is less about being an expert in every technology and more about being curious, adaptable, and willing to get stuck in wherever the team needs support. You will contribute to frontend development in React, Angular, and TypeScript, while also helping build and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations using Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and SQL.

Responsibilities 🤘

  • Solve problems across a broad technical domain spanning frontend, backend, mobile, and platform systems.
  • Investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and data flows using Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and SQL.
  • Integrate frontend experiences with reliable, well-designed APIs and platform services.
  • Contribute wherever the team's priorities require, whether that's frontend, backend, mobile, platform, or operational improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver customer value.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve systems, tooling, and ways of working.
  • Use AI-assisted and agentic coding tools thoughtfully as part of daily development, code exploration, testing, refactoring, and documentation.
  • Share learnings with the team about where AI adds value and how to use these tools responsibly in a complex production codebase while applying sound engineering judgement.

  • Interest in using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

While many successful candidates will have several years of experience, we also welcome applications from mid-level engineers who can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and a passion for learning.
