Summary / ObjectiveThe Region Manager’s primary job function is to be fully accountable for the success of an assigned group of stores driving sales growth by directing all operational aspects of the district. The District Manager is responsible for ensuring proper store staffing, maintaining clean, well-organized and properly merchandised stores at all times and that all policies, procedures and controls are followed. The Region Manager is responsible for protecting company property and assets. This position serves as the key strategic partner and maintains constant awareness of our competition within their assigned district. The District Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining ethical standards as a Bestway Ambassador and set the example to all subordinates within their district in ethical decision making skills. Supervisory Responsibilities Manage and direct a geographic group of stores normally consisting of 6 to 8 stores. LeadershipResponsible for setting and achieving sales and credit standards· Responsible for overseeing the performance management of each store manager· Schedule and visit all stores in the District on a regular basis to ensure compliance in all areas of customer service, store operations, and loss prevention· Ensure that 80% of work time is allocated to store visits· Train, challenge, motivate, encourage and provide constructive guidance to Store Managers related to all areas of effective operations Human Resources· Ensure that all staff hired within the district are qualified candidates with the desire to create enthusiasm and are properly trained to perform their job duties· Ensure that all Store Managers effectively supervise their employees by planning, organizing and delegating tasks to meet the store goals and expectations· Responsible for recruiting, hiring and training of their store staffs in all aspects of their job functions and providing appropriate constructive feedback regarding performance and/or conduct· Ensure Store Managers maintain proper staffing levels to meet store needs and that Bestway coworkers properly record hours worked· Ensure that all coworkers within the District are kept current on all policies, procedures, programs and guidelines and that all stores maintain a work environment free from discrimination and harassment· Ensure that all coworkers treat one another with respect and our customers with courtesy and respect· Responsible for communicating regular updates, new information and concerns regarding the competition to their respective RVP and executive leadership· Identify, develop and coach top performers in operational and people management skills in order to internally promote existing coworkers· Responsible for setting a positive example in all aspects of Bestway’s business model and maintaining at all times a professional relationship with store managers, store staff members and peers· Responsible for ensuring that all stores in respective district are in compliance with compensation guidelines and practices Loss Prevention/Inventory Control· Ensure that Store Managers are in compliance with all policies regarding cash control· Ensure that Store Managers conduct their inventories timely and accurately· Responsible for ensuring and assisting their Store Managers in researching any merchandise/asset discrepancies from the inventories performed or other exceptions· Responsible for ensuring that all Store Managers are properly pricing, handling service & loaners and maintaining all inventory in rent ready condition· Protect and properly dispose of any company or customer file information· Ensure 30+ day files are being worked properly · Complete full inventory audits including service and loaners in each store every other month. Organizational Strategy· Maintain competitive awareness by continuously monitoring the competition· Serve as a key strategic partner with Executive Leadership by proactively implementing strategies to stay ahead of the competition· Ensure that all stores have a complete understanding of the Company’s Sales and Credit Minutes· Ensure that all stores are utilizing the P.U.S.H. for effective time management Administration· Responsible for ensuring that all store managers maintain all records within the store operations as required by updating all daily, weekly and monthly reports. · District Manager is responsible to submit their expense reports, all required reports as directed by their RVP timely and accurately· Complete a 5 Star Audit on each store as required This area includes but is not limited to all banking functions in stores, all paperwork is sent to home office, all store records/manuals are maintained and all store expenses are within established guidelines Competencies· Decision Maker – exhibit the ability to identify and understand various issues and problems and compare date and information to draw conclusions and make a decision timely and effectively· Authenticity – gain the trust of your people by demonstrating openness and honesty· Time Management – ability to prioritize· Organization – demonstrate clear process to keep tasks ongoing· Leverage Diversity – ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, abilities, motivations and backgrounds and utilize the uniqueness of each individual within the district· Building Partnerships – ability to identify opportunities and taking action to build strategic relationships between their area and other teams, departments, stores, and organizations to help in achieving the company’s business objectives. QualificationsBachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3 years in multi-unit leadership and managementPrevious rent to own experience requiredSome overnight travel requiredBasic computer skills application knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday as required.8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will require additional hours as needed.
