ENTER THE GAME 🎮
As Head of Design Ops, you will lead the operational backbone of our design organization. You will report directly to Thomas, our Chief Experience Officer, and work in close partnership with Antti, VP Design, and with the tech teams building our design system components.
This is a rare opportunity for a senior, visionary operator to reinvent how design and design systems are built and scaled in the AI era, where components, patterns, and standards are structured to be directly consumable and extendable by AI, not just by humans.
YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC 🔥
In this role, your main missions will be:
- Own the strategy and evolution of our Figma based design system (components, tokens, variables, and libraries) with seamless continuity into production code.
- Extend the design system beyond classic interface standards to systemize motion, interaction, and content patterns, so every designer and every AI tool works from the same consistent building blocks.
- Define and drive AI native design standards: experience systems & patterns, documentation built to be read, generated, and extended directly by AI, inside Figma and beyond.
- Champion AI powered workflows across the Design org, from design to code generation to automating repetitive production work in Offer Creative (visual assets, offer creatives, templated content).
- Continuously improve the end-to-end Product Design lifecycle, from Product Discovery through design, delivery, QA and learning, in partnership with Product Design and Product teams. This aligns with the Product Flow and your current push for visible Design Discovery work.
- Drive automation across design and content tooling to accelerate reviews, enforce standards, and reduce production time end to end.
- Partner closely with the tech team responsible for building and maintaining design system components in code.
- Partner with VP Product Design and Product Design Leads to translate experience strategy and standards into scalable tools, systems, workflows and governance.
- Bring a forward looking, opinionated point of view on the future of design operations: shaping how the team works, not just maintaining how it works today.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 🔍
This job is for you if:
- You have at least 10 years of experience in design, design systems, or product/design operations.
- You have deep, hands on expertise in design systems at scale in Figma (components, variables, tokens) and in design to code workflows.
- You have a strong point of view on how AI is reshaping design practice, and you have already put it into action: AI assisted design system work, generative production, or AI consumable design standards.
- You have led or scaled a Design Ops / Product Ops function, ideally including team and cross discipline management across design, and creative.
- You have hands on management experience leading a team of a similar size (around 10 people across multiple disciplines), with real headroom to scale that management as the team might grows in our high growth environment.
- You are comfortable operating at a strategic level with senior stakeholders (VP Design, CXO, Product and Tech leaders) while staying close enough to the work to be credible with practitioners.
- You are fluent in English; French is a plus.
- You're a sports and/or gaming fan at heart to feel right at home in the Betclic culture.
