ABOUT BEZOS ACADEMY

At Bezos Academy, we believe all children deserve the great start that excellent early education provides, including in under-resourced communities. Our mission is to nurture the potential in every child to become a creative leader, original thinker, and lifelong learner by inventing the solutions needed to scale early childhood education. We are a unique organization that realizes our mission in two distinct ways. First, we operate a multi-state network of schools in under-resourced communities, offering quality Montessori preschools at no cost to families. Second, we invest in creating tools, products, technology, and other solutions designed to reach children well beyond the walls of our schools. We aspire to have a profound, large-scale impact on children ages zero to five.

DESCRIPTION

As a Brand Designer at Bezos Academy, you will provide dedicated support to shape how families first experience a new consumer product and brand, from initial awareness through early engagement. You’ll design thoughtful brand moments across marketing and product experiences, helping parents understand what we offer, why it matters, and how it fits into their daily lives.

This role supports the launch and growth of a new, mission-driven product focused on families with young children. You’ll contribute to building the brand from the ground up by designing digital and physical touchpoints that create a clear, consistent, and emotionally resonant story as the product comes to life. You’ll collaborate closely with product designers, other brand designers, curriculum experts, and content partners to bring this experience together across channels. This full-time, 12-month limited term role offers an opportunity to help establish foundational marketing and brand systems while supporting real launches from day one.

LOCATION

  • Seattle, WA
  • This role is expected to work in-person with other product team members in our office in the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle at least two days a week.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • This is a temporary, full-time position anticipated through December 17, 2027. This role is benefits-eligible, and exempt (salaried).
  • The full salary range for this position in Seattle, WA is $100,000 - $160,000 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for employees who have been in the role for multiple years and have demonstrated strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by qualifications and prior experience.
  • This role includes an annual accrual of 15 paid days of vacation, 4 days of paid personal time off, 9 paid days of sick (care) time, 9 paid holidays, 5 paid days off for an organization-wide winter break, and additional time off if required by applicable law. Benefits for this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 4% employer contribution match, an employer-matched flexible spending account for dependent care, and more. Please see here for details.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as design, visual communication, or equivalent experience
  • Five or more years of professional experience, including at least two years in brand, marketing, or visual design, with a portfolio demonstrating strong craft across digital and print
  • Experience designing marketing websites, customer acquisition paths, lifecycle or email communications, and multi-channel brand touchpoints
  • Strong visual design skills, including typography, layout, hierarchy, and color
  • Expertise in Figma, including working with components, templates, and scalable systems
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted design and development tools, with the ability to independently create and ship end-to-end work
  • Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional partners and incorporating feedback productively
  • Ability to take projects from brief to final delivery with minimal oversight

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working on consumer-facing products or brands
  • Experience designing across both digital and physical surfaces, including print production workflows
  • Familiarity with lifecycle marketing or CRM tools and the constraints they introduce
  • Comfort working in evolving environments where brand, systems, and processes are still being defined
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across production workflows

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
