From day one, you’ll be set up for success, with the tools, systems, and support needed to deliver high-quality maintenance services in a fast-paced, critical environment.

Why You’ll Love Working With BGIS

✔ Company vehicle – modern fleet with tolls, fuel & insurance covered

✔ Onsite parking available

✔ Strong wages, yearly increases, RDOs, overtime & on-call allowance

✔ Career growth – paid training, study leave, and clear development support

✔ Top-Tier Equipment Provided – We supply you with the essentials including iPad, phone, uniforms & PPE, so you’re job-ready from day one

✔ Recognition & rewards – spot vouchers & $2,000 referral bonus

✔ Health, wellbeing & perks – Fitness Passport, employee discounts, and optional yearly paid flu vaccination vouchers

✔ Various employee benefits, including novated leasing options

✔ Paid parental leave & paid volunteer leave

✔ Safe systems, supportive team & clear pathways for promotion

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver preventative and corrective maintenance across building fabric and general site assets
  • Complete general repairs including carpentry, patching, doors, locks, fixtures, fittings, walls, ceilings, floors, and minor structural works
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests, building faults, and defects within required response times
  • Carry out temporary or permanent repairs to keep facilities safe and operational
  • Complete work orders accurately within CMMS systems, including labour, materials, progress updates, and completion details
  • Proactively identify maintenance issues that may impact asset presentation or functionality
  • Support minor works and maintenance activities to reduce the need for specialist trade intervention
  • Follow safe systems of work including permits, manual handling requirements, and site-specific safety procedures
  • Work collaboratively with Facilities Managers, the FM Hub, electricians, plumbers, painters, subcontractors, and other specialist trades
  • Participate in shift handovers and operational briefings while supporting the site's operational requirements

Your Education, Experience & Skills

  • Trade qualification in carpentry, building, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in general building maintenance within commercial, industrial, or infrastructure environments
  • Broad hands-on skill set across building fabric, minor repairs, and general maintenance activities
  • Strong fault-finding, practical problem-solving, and maintenance skills
  • Experience with preventative and corrective maintenance practices
  • Experience using CMMS systems such as Maximo, or similar work order management platforms
  • Sound understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
  • Ability to work effectively within a shift-based roster, including nights, weekends, and on-call requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment with competing priorities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in aviation, transport, or high-profile public environments highly regarded
  • ASIC Clearance desirable
  • Full working rights in Australia essential

As part of our recruitment process, successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
