Position Overview

Metro Auto Auction is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Auto Detailers. This position is responsible for cleaning and preparing vehicles for auction while maintaining an organized and safe work environment. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, works efficiently, independently, and can stay productive with minimal supervision. No previous detailing experience is required. Training will be provided.

Primary Job Responsibilities ● Rinse and clean vehicle exteriors. ● Remove trash and debris from vehicle interiors. ● Wipe down dashboards, center consoles, and door panels. ● Vacuum vehicle interiors. ● Prepare vehicles for auction presentation. ● Collect and organize vehicle keys, license plates, and other items. ● Maintain a clean and organized work area. ● Follow company procedures and safety guidelines. ● Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications & Expectations ● Reliable attendance and punctuality. ● Strong work ethic and attention to detail. ● Ability to work independently. ● Positive attitude and willingness to learn. ● Automotive knowledge or previous detailing experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions ● Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. ● Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, twist, and reach throughout the workday. ● Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. ● Ability to work safely around moving vehicles and heavy equipment. ● Ability to recognize potential hazards and follow workplace safety procedures. ● Proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
