The posting

What’s the role? This is not a traditional PM role. We don’t spend cycles trying to nudge a metric towards an arbitrary business goal. A majority of the work here involves building innovative, 0-to-1 products at a high velocity.

You will work side-by-side with engineers and designers as a unified team of builders. Our TPMs don’t merely facilitate or orchestrate the work—they are hands-on, always, even when it involves unfamiliar territory.

Bilt has ambitious strategic goals and your job is to own the products that achieve those goals by figuring out how to build them in the fastest, most scalable way, all while maintaining a high degree of quality.

In this role, you will… Take product direction and turn it into something that ships quickly Own how things get built by constantly assessing scope, sequencing, and execution Work directly with engineering, design, and business owners to move things forward day to day Prototype ideas yourself when it helps speed up decisions Break complex problems into simple, shippable pieces Leverage AI tools to shorten feedback loops and increase iteration velocity Run multiple threads at once without losing quality Stay close to everything happening in your pod and connect the dots across it Hold a high bar for quality, no matter who the end customer is Look for ways to remove friction in how we build and ship

Great TPMs at Bilt: Have 5+ years of experience in product management, engineering, or a combination of both Have a strong technical foundation (BA/BS in mathematics, technical, or analytical field) Want to understand how everything works, not just their piece of it Care about how something gets built just as much as what gets built Move quickly and know when to keep something scrappy versus when to build it for massive scale, and when to do both at the same time Have a passion for AI tools, expressed through hands-on prototyping, building automations, side projects, and constant experimentation with the latest tools Are comfortable stepping outside of their role when needed Have strong instincts for product quality and user experience Communicate clearly and directly Can go deep with engineers and make decisions with them Understand systems, constraints, and how things scale

Benefits: Compensation - We offer a competitive salary with a meaningful stake in the company via equity and our performance bonus program Health insurance for you (& your loved ones) from day one - Enjoy a One Medical Membership, wellness stipends, family programs and more, on us. We’ve got you and your family covered from day one. 401k plan with a match - Retirement may feel more like a pipe dream than a reality but we’re here to help you get there. Commuter FSAs - We believe the best ideas come from being together in one place. We just don’t think getting there should be so expensive. UNLIMITED PTO - Because we believe that working hard shouldn’t mean always working. Take time for you as often as you need it. Exclusive Employee only Bilt Points - We give our employees unique opportunities to earn points throughout their time at Bilt. Team Events - We believe in human connection so we hold events to help our employees break from the monotony of the typical work week.

At Bilt Rewards, we believe in transparency and we do our best to make sure the company and our candidates are on the same page as it relates to compensation. In addition to posting salary ranges for our open roles, candidates should expect to be asked about compensation expectations and requirements early on in their interview process. Our goal is to highlight when expectations and Bilt’s salary range may be out of sync, and work with the candidate to determine whether it makes sense to continue conversations.

We are considering candidates with differing levels of expertise for this position. Leveling will be based upon your experience and performance in the interview process.

Where a new hire falls within a range will be based on their individual skills and experience, and how these competencies compare across other employees in the same role. Bilt's bands are designed to allow for individual compensation growth within the role. As such, new hires typically start at the lower end of the range. Bilt rewards performance and outcomes - should you join the company, you will have the opportunity to grow your salary over time.

The salary range for a Technical Product Manager is $160,000 - 250,000 and will be eligible for equity and an annual performance-based bonus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
