Job description

As Pricing Manager, APAC, you’ll lead pricing and quoting activity across the region and help turn high-quality commercial decision-making into sustainable growth.

Based onsite in Shanghai, you’ll lead the China Pricing Team and work closely with Sales, Finance, Costing, Procurement and Operations. Your work will contribute directly to revenue, gross profit and customer outcomes, from effective everyday quoting through to bespoke pricing, tariffs and rate cards.

We’re interested in demonstrated pricing and commercial capability. Your experience could have been developed in Pricing, Sales, Commercial or Procurement. Experience in logistics, courier or freight forwarding would be useful, but it isn’t essential.

You’ll be accountable for leading the team and improving both the commercial results and operational effectiveness of APAC pricing.

Role Responsibilities Overview:

  • Lead, coach and develop Senior Pricing Analysts and Pricing Analysts, setting clear goals and providing regular performance and development conversations.
  • Balance workloads and capacity to provide appropriate coverage and team resilience.
  • Deploy and monitor KPIs covering the speed and quality of pricing and quoting.
  • Drive improvements to sales yield, win/capture rates, pricing accuracy and team productivity.
  • Support standardisation and automation of tariffs and pricing activity.
  • Work across Sales, Finance and Costing to identify root causes of customer invoicing delays and support improvements.
  • Maintain appropriate internal controls across pricing processes.
  • Exercise appropriate commercial judgement when approving high-value or bespoke shipment pricing.
  • Develop, maintain and review customer-specific tariffs and rate cards.
  • Analyse pricing systems, tariffs and individual consignments to identify actions that could strengthen profitability.
  • Identify unusually high rates or cost-sensitive lanes and work with the relevant teams to address them.
  • Support global RFQ/RFI responses, global rate cards, client price breakdowns and pricing-related software integrations.

What We Offer You: Comprehensive benefits including:

  • Social Security
  • Housing Fund
  • Group Commercial Insurance
  • High Temperature Allowance
  • Physical Examination
  • Annual Leave
  • Birthday Leave
  • Volunteering Leave
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival Gifts
  • Women's Day Gift

Work Structure:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00
  • Fully onsite at our Shanghai Office.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience working in Pricing, Sales, Commercial, Procurement or another environment where you have supported commercial decision-making.
  • Experience leading or supervising people, including setting expectations, allocating work, providing feedback and supporting development.
  • Confidence working with detailed spreadsheets to analyse information and turn it into useful commercial insight.
  • Practical Microsoft Excel capability, including standard formulae, pivot tables, graphs and data presentation.
  • Commercial awareness, including the ability to recognise trends, cost-saving opportunities and factors affecting profitability.
  • Evidence of building productive relationships with customers, suppliers and/or internal stakeholders.
  • The ability to organise competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and delivering to deadlines.
  • Clear communication, collaborative working and evidence-based problem solving.
  • Experience with tariffs, rate cards, RFQs/RFIs, bespoke pricing or comparable commercial pricing mechanisms alongside exposure to process standardisation or automation is desirable but not essential.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
