The posting

We are looking for an experienced pig farm employee for a farm in Skjern, Denmark.

The position is mainly focused on the farrowing department, so strong practical experience with sows and piglets is required.

Requirements

  • Strong experience from a farrowing department
  • At least 1 year of farm management or responsibility experience
  • Able to work independently and take responsibility
  • Good understanding of sow and piglet care
  • Experience with daily farm routines and animal observation
  • Driving licence is an advantage, as the position involves travelling between 3 farm locations
  • Reliable and flexible
  • English communication skills

Main tasks

  • Daily work in the farrowing department
  • Care and observation of sows and piglets
  • Feeding and checking animals
  • Following farm routines and procedures
  • Taking responsibility for assigned areas
  • Supporting the daily management of the farm
  • Travelling between 3 farm locations

Employment: Permanent position for the right candidate Start: As soon as possible Location: Skjern, Denmark Accommodation: Possibility of accommodation (for monthly rent) Salary: Based on experience. A higher salary can be offered to a candidate with strong experience and responsibility.
