Are you a licensed PTA looking for your next opportunity? Our supportive and experienced team at Christian Hospital is looking for a passionate Physical Therapist Assistant! In this role, you will be able to work with patients in multiple settings including ICU, step down units, orthopedics, neuro, and more. Additionally, our supportive team offers flexibility and exposure to a wide range of patients and disease states. If you are interested in advancing your PTA career, we would love to hear form you.

Overview

Christian was nationally ranked as “high performing” in the clinical specialty of geriatrics and in the following seven of 21 common procedures and conditions: heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, diabetes, COPD, pneumonia and stroke. High performing in a specialty means we were in the top 10% nationally of all evaluated hospitals for that specialty or procedure and condition.

Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

The Speech Pathology Department at Christian Hospital is located on the second floor of CH . Services are provided to adults with deficits in speech, language, voice, dysphagia and cognition.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Provides skilled treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by a licensed physical therapist as specified in their health care service setting.

Responsibilities

Implements treatment plan as developed by the licensed physical therapist.Collaborates with the licensed physical therapist on an agreed upon frequency to assess and reassess patient’s plan of care, treatment goals and interventions.Documents patient progress in daily notes and weekly notes (as applicable), as well as contributes recommendations to patient’s discharge note from physical therapy.Assists with guidance for clinical fieldwork students under the supervision of the physical therapist.Reports on interventions and patient progress during assigned meetings and contributes to the screening and evaluation process.
