Job Description

Manage the day-to-day work activities of post-sale installation, delivery, deployment and ongoing support functions for the field service organization for an assigned customer site inclusive of the people, process, systems and measures. Ensure installation, delivery and deployment services are delivered to the assigned customer in a consistent, high quality and professional manner using structured and disciplined practices to ensure stable post-sale services are consistent with company initiatives and expectations. Ensure activities are achieved that meet corporate customer satisfaction objectives as well as internal and external SLAs.

Summary:

  • The Cable Infrastructure Manager (RCDD) will manage the day-to-day work activities of post-sale installation, delivery, deployment and ongoing support functions for the field service organization for an assigned customer site inclusive of the people, process, systems and measures.
  • Ensure installation, delivery and deployment services are delivered to the assigned customer in a consistent, high quality and professional manner using structured and disciplined practices to ensure stable post-sale services are consistent with company initiatives and expectations.
  • Ensure activities are achieved that meet corporate customer satisfaction objectives as well as internal and external SLAs.
  • Responsible for circuit designs and special projects involving department, subcontractors or cross functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system through the design process and into a finished state for its tenants.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Plans and directs schedules for employees
  • Monitors the staff responsible for the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters, project schedules, budget constraints, and provides technical support and direction.
  • Coordinate efforts of lower-level staff.
  • Interface with IT Service Desk for infrastructure related issues.
  • Follow all policies and procedures as defined.

Minimum Competencies, Experience, and Skills:

  • A Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification is required.
  • 7 years of telecommunications industry experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing projects and people.
  • Solid understanding of BICSI cabling standards.
  • Solid understanding of cable trays, raceways, patch panels, cable management, fiber optics, and connectors.
  • Background in telecommunications and fiber optic installation is essential.
  • Experienced telephone and data network system environments and be familiar with the design and implementation of:
  • Outside plant design including applicable LEC practices.
  • Inside plant including telephone rooms and closets, riser systems, MDFs, IDFs, and backboards according to Miami‐Dade County specifications.
  • Power plants, including UPS and battery banks.
  • Floor plans, including equipment layout for the installation of telephone systems and computer floors.
  • Environmental requirements.
