We are looking for a Manager, Supply Chain Finance to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Director, Finance and based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.

Position Overview

We are seeking a finance professional to partner with Supply Chain, Sourcing, Operations and other cross-functional teams. This role supports financial planning and decision-making across supplier economics, material cost, inventory, working capital and supply-chain performance.

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Finance, the Manager will own defined financial workstreams, develop analyses and recommendations, and work directly with business partners to improve financial outcomes and operating visibility. This is an individual-contributor role requiring strong analytical capability, business partnership and execution.

Role and Responsibilities

Supplier Finance & Commercial Analysis

  • Own financial analysis for supplier prepayments, capacity arrangements, strategic deposits and other nonstandard commercial proposals.
  • Build business cases and scenario models covering cash flow, payback, economic benefit, repayment and downside risk.
  • Partner with Sourcing, Treasury, Accounting and Legal to analyze commercial terms and summarize material financial considerations.
  • Track supplier funding, repayments, outstanding exposure and expected benefits against approved terms.
  • Support supplier financial-health reviews and identify emerging financial or concentration risks.

Material Cost & Business Performance

  • Own recurring analysis and forecasts for material cost, purchase price variance and sourcing savings.
  • Develop cost-driver and total-cost analyses to support supplier negotiations, sourcing decisions and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Analyze performance drivers including volume, commodities, supplier mix, engineering changes, tariffs and logistics costs.
  • Validate savings assumptions and track expected benefits through purchase activity and financial results.
  • Prepare clear performance summaries, issue analyses and recommendations for business reviews.

Inventory & Working Capital

  • Develop inventory forecasts using demand, receipts, production, shipments, lead times and other operational drivers.
  • Partner with planning and Operations to evaluate inventory targets, safety stock, build-ahead and strategic-buy proposals.
  • Analyze inventory turns, DIO, aging, excess and obsolete exposure, reserve requirements and disposition actions.
  • Identify working-capital opportunities and support cross-functional action plans.
  • Quantify the cash-flow, balance-sheet and margin implications of inventory decisions.
  • Business Partnership & Process Improvement
  • Serve as the primary finance partner for assigned Supply Chain or Sourcing workstreams.
  • Lead recurring reviews and communicate key drivers, risks, opportunities and required actions.
  • Build and maintain financial models, dashboards and reporting processes that improve visibility and accountability.
  • Coordinate inputs across multiple teams, resolve data issues and ensure analyses are complete and decision-ready.
  • Recommend practical process improvements and support implementation with business partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
  • Typically 6+ years of experience in supply-chain finance, operations finance, FP&A, inventory finance, working capital, strategic sourcing finance or a related field.
  • Experience owning financial analyses or recurring business processes and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong financial-modeling skills, including driver-based forecasting, business-case analysis and scenario modeling.
  • Working knowledge of inventory, standard costing, PPV, supplier payments and working-capital concepts.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP, planning, business-intelligence or data-visualization tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate analysis into concise business implications and recommendations.
  • High ownership, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Preferred Experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, energy, hardware, industrial technology or another product-based environment.
  • Experience supporting global supply chains, strategic sourcing, inventory or supplier-payment processes.
  • Experience with Oracle or another enterprise resource planning system.
  • Experience with dashboarding, automation or data-visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, PPV, absorption or working-capital drivers.

What Success Looks Like

  • Assigned workstreams are managed reliably with accurate analysis, clear ownership and timely follow-through.
  • Business partners receive useful insights and recommendations, not only financial reporting.
  • Forecasts, models and dashboards clearly connect operational activity to financial outcomes.
  • Risks and opportunities are identified early and converted into practical actions.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
