This role serves as a key link between Operations, Materials Management, Manufacturing, IT, and Continuous Improvement teams by identifying root causes of inventory discrepancies, developing corrective actions, and supporting system and process enhancements within ERP and MES environments.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with hands-on manufacturing and inventory management experience and enjoys solving complex operational challenges through data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate cycle count discrepancies, inventory variances, and material transaction issues to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Partner with Production, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve recurring inventory and process-related issues.
  • Conduct audits of inventory transactions, work orders, receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Support physical inventory activities and reconciliation efforts while improving transaction accuracy and inventory controls.
  • Monitor inventory performance metrics and identify trends requiring corrective or preventive action.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics tools to improve visibility of operational performance.
  • Analyze manufacturing, inventory, and supply chain data to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and track KPIs related to inventory accuracy, production performance, material shortages, and transaction compliance.
  • Support the development, testing, validation, and enhancement of ERP and MES systems.
  • Gather business requirements and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to implement system improvements, workflows, and automation solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for inventory transactions, material control processes, and manufacturing system functionality.
  • Train users on inventory management best practices, system transactions, and process compliance requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence, waste reduction, and process standardization.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to operational and leadership teams.

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, materials management, inventory control, supply chain analytics, or related operational functions.
  • Experience investigating inventory discrepancies and performing structured root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data-driven recommendations.
  • Knowledge of inventory control practices, cycle counting methodologies, and material transaction processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar analytics tools.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
