The posting
Join BLP and help make the world’s business processes autonomous!
Our agentic platform helps finance and operations teams worldwide remove manual work from their core business processes, so work runs end-to-end with greater control and significant productivity gains.
Today, over 550 enterprise customers use BLP across 1,300+ deployed projects. In the processes we automate, customers achieve productivity improvements of 5 to 10 times.
To date, BLP remains majority employee-owned, with Goldman Sachs holding a minority stake as a growth investor. Our success is driven by deep expertise in technology and business processes, a superior product with strong product-market fit, reflected in an expanding customer base that includes Fortune 500 companies.
BLP is one of Switzerland's fastest-growing SaaS scale-ups; we are now entering our next phase of growth. From our headquarters on Zürich's Bahnhofstrasse, we're expanding globally, with a growing presence across Europe and North America.
Join us and help make autonomous operations the new standard.
Location
This is a six-month internship based at our HQ in central Zurich or in Munich. This is an in-person role. You learn this job by sitting next to people who already do it, and that does not work remotely.
Your Mission
Think of this role as the modern Sherlock Holmes: new puzzles to solve and new people to work with, every single day.
You work exactly at the intersection of technology and business, and that is not a figure of speech. On one side you are in the system, in the data, working out what actually happened. On the other you are with a finance team, explaining it and agreeing what to do. You need both, every day.
And you work across the whole customer journey, not in one corner of it. Our internship touches all three parts of how we serve customers after the contract is signed:
Handling client requests. Our customers run their finance and supply chain processes on blp. When something does not behave the way they expected, a document that did not post, an exception that should have resolved itself, a number in a dashboard that looks wrong, they write to us. You investigate what the system did, what the data says and what the customer's process actually requires, and you fix it. You have the access and the authority to change configuration when that is the answer, and when it is not, you know who to bring in and what to give them. What reaches the customer is you: your answer, your explanation, your judgment about what to do next.
Improving automation. A process does not become autonomous on the day it goes live. You work with our Consulting team on live customers: finding out why documents still need a human touch, tuning how our AI agents handle them, and helping customers take the next step towards processes that genuinely run on their own.
Supporting delivery. You join our project teams as they bring new customers live: preparing configuration, testing workflows, and helping make a go-live land on time.
The role grows with you. You start where the pattern is known and someone is close by. As your expertise builds you take on harder cases, and your exposure to customers grows with it: from written answers, to calls, to being in the room when a customer wants their most pressing problem solved now.
This goes well beyond tickets. We are a fast-moving organization and a lot of what needs to exist does not exist yet. You will take on and drive initiatives that make the whole operation scale: a recurring problem that should be solved once rather than fifty times, a piece of tooling that does not exist, a way of working that has outgrown itself. Interns here have shipped things that the team still uses.
How we think about ownership. You will be given real work with real consequences, early, because that is the only way anyone learns this job properly. The other half of that is judgment: explore and decide for yourself where you can, and pull someone in when something critical is on the line. Knowing which situation you are in is part of the skill, and nobody will hold it against you for asking.
Most of our customers work in German and you will be in front of them from early on. That is uncomfortable for about three weeks and then it is the best part of the job.
What You Will Do
- Answer incoming customer requests, own them end to end, and confirm with the customer that the issue is actually fixed.
- Work out why a workflow, document or posting did not behave as expected, and adjust configuration where that is the right fix.
- Support our Consultants in raising automation on live customers: analyze where documents still need manual work and help remove the cause.
- Support our project teams in bringing new customers live: configuration, workflow testing and go-live preparation.
- Recognize when a problem is bigger than one case, and hand it on with proper evidence.
- Join customer calls to work through urgent issues directly, as your experience grows.
- Take on initiatives beyond the day-to-day: things that should be fixed once rather than answered repeatedly.
- Document what you learn so the next person does not have to learn it twice.
What We're Really Looking For
We do not expect you to know ERP systems. We expect you to be the kind of person who gets to the bottom of things.
- Curiosity – You want to know why something works, not just that it does.
- Clear Logic – You take a messy situation apart, find the actual cause, and explain it simply.
- Customer Nerve – You stay calm and credible with a frustrated controller on the phone, and you can say "I do not know yet, here is how I will find out."
- Self-Driven – You close your own knowledge gaps without being told to.
- Ownership – You see things through without someone checking, and you know when to pull someone in.
What You Bring
- Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's in business, economics, information systems, engineering, computer science, or something adjacent. Strong candidates from other backgrounds are welcome to make their case.
- German and English, both fluent. This is a hard requirement. Our customers work in German every day and our internal work runs in English.
- Strong analytical thinking and comfort working with data.
- Genuine interest in enterprise software, AI, and how large organizations actually run.
- Nice to have, not required: first exposure to ERP systems, SQL, APIs, or process modeling.
Where It Leads
This internship is the entry point into every role in our Customer Success organization. Because you have worked across client requests, automation and delivery, you know which one suits you best, and so do we. Interns who do well are offered a permanent role as:
- AI Automation Specialist, the entry level of our Consulting team,
- Project Manager, getting customers live in our delivery team, or
- Customer Success Engineer, solving the hard problems on live systems.
AI is changing how companies run their core processes, and the people who know how to make that work in a real organization are still rare. Six months here are a very strong start in this new field of AI-powered ways of working. We tell you early and honestly whether the conversation about a permanent role is coming.
Benefits
- Real responsibility from week three, not shadowing.
- A steep learning curve on live enterprise systems, across support, automation and delivery.
- Direct access to engineers, product managers, and the people running our customers' finance operations.
- Employee ownership – be part of a majority employee-owned company with a best-in-class stock option program.
- Amazing team – become part of a driven and collaborative group of innovators.
- Visits & offsites – including collaborative team offsites.
