Over Blue Line LogisticsBlue Line Logistics, gevestigd in Schoten, is een dochteronderneming van de Franse Sogestran Groep, een internationale groep actief in de binnenvaart en logistiek.

Met onze drie schepen zijn we actief op de kleinere binnenvaartkanalen. Voor het traject Leuven – Willebroek en omgekeerd zijn we op zoek naar een gemotiveerde en zelfstandige stuurman/kapitein die ons team wil versterken.

Jouw functieAls stuurman/kapitein ben je verantwoordelijk voor het veilig en zelfstandig uitvoeren van de dagelijkse vaart op het toegewezen traject. Onze schepen varen volgens het systeem van alleenvaart, waardoor je zelfstandig kunt werken en een groot verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel belangrijk is.

Je takenpakket omvat onder andere:

  • Het zelfstandig uitvoeren van transporten op het traject Leuven – Willebroek en omgekeerd.
  • Het veilig en efficiënt bedienen en besturen van het schip, met respect voor de geldende voorschriften.
  • Het dagelijks controleren en in goede staat houden van het schip.
  • Het uitvoeren van kleine onderhoudswerken en het melden van technische problemen.
  • Het ondersteunen van de walkapitein en de operationeel verantwoordelijke bij de dagelijkse werking.
  • Het correct opvolgen van de operationele planning en de gemaakte afspraken.

Wie zoeken wij?Wij zoeken een kandidaat die zelfstandig kan werken, verantwoordelijkheid neemt en zich flexibel kan opstellen.

Je profiel:

  • Je beschikt over de nodige vaarbewijzen en certificaten om de functie van stuurman / kapitein binnen de binnenvaart uit te oefenen
  • Je hebt bij voorkeur ervaring in de binnenvaart en met varen op kleinere kanalen
  • Je kunt zelfstandig werken en neemt initiatief wanneer dat nodig is
  • Je hebt oog voor veiligheid, orde en het onderhoud van het schip
  • Je bent praktisch ingesteld en bereid om kleine onderhoudstaken uit te voeren
  • Je bent flexibel en kunt je aanpassen aan de dagelijkse operationele planning
  • Je woont bij voorkeur in de regio Leuven – Willebroek, zodat je je vlot naar het toegewezen traject kunt verplaatsen
  • Je communiceert vlot met de walkapitein en de operationeel verantwoordelijke
