This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

We are seeking a CNC Machine Programmers (levels 2, 3 and 4) to join Blue Origin's Engines team. We are a team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.

Specifically, this job posting supports multiple openings on the team machining components for our BE-3U engines. These engines support the upper stage of the New Glenn Rocket, delivering payloads into Earth orbit.

In this role, you will work closely with engineers and machinists, and program unique rocket engine components in NX Cam and Master Cam.

  • B | Monday - Thursday (3:00pm - 1:30am)
  • C | Friday - Sunday (5:00am - 5:30pm)
  • D | Friday - Sunday (5:00pm - 5:30am)

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in NC Programming - NX or MasterCam highly preferred
  • Excellent blue print reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard
  • Tools fixture design
  • Set-up sheet creation
  • Determining initial feeds and speeds
  • Cutter selection and when needed cutter design
  • Design for manufacture experience
  • Excellent Communication
  • Must have experience programming machines for nickel-based alloys and aluminum jobs
  • Fluent in use of precision hand tools and familiar with use of personal computers
  • Individual must be self-motivating to prioritize work to meet project completion dates
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • MasterCam X8 or higher experience preferred
  • Siemens NX Programming
  • Nickel based alloys, copper, Ti experience
  • Vericut or other program verification software experience
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware
  • CMM/CAPPSNC programming/operation

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
