At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

We are looking for an analytical and practical Senior Financial Analyst to join the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Finance team. You will be the finance business partner to our Material Management, Supply Chain Automation, and Commodity Standardization teams. These teams are scaling our warehouse network and simplifying the parts we buy as Blue Origin moves to high-rate production.

You will sit on the leadership team of the business you support. You will own their financial plan, help leaders understand how their decisions show up in the numbers, and build the metrics that show whether we are getting more efficient as volume grows. This role suits someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, likes working directly with operations and engineering teams, and wants to build something rather than maintain it.

Passion for our mission and vision is required.

Responsibilities

  • Own annual and multi-year financial planning (headcount, OPEX, and capital) for warehousing, material management, and supply chain automation teams.
  • Build operating and financial metrics such as cost per part received, stored, and shipped, and track how they change as volume grows.
  • Build and track business cases for warehouse and automation investments, including network expansion and robotics.
  • Partner with the commodity standardization team to measure realized savings and to run the quarterly process that moves inventory and spend budget from business units into Operations.
  • Analyze and explain variances to plan and forecast, with a focus on drivers and actions the business can take.
  • Provide financial analysis for memos authored by the teams you support, and author or co-author memos where finance leads.
  • Create and present content for business reviews and finance reviews.
  • Improve the tools, data, and processes the finance team uses.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a STEM field
  • 8+ years of financial analysis experience
  • Advanced Excel skills, including building models with multiple inputs, constraints, and scenarios
  • Experience with data mining using SQL
  • Experience partnering directly with operations, supply chain, or engineering leaders
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience with warehouse, logistics, or distribution finance, including unit cost and capacity modeling
  • Experience with capital business cases for automation or facilities
  • Experience with commodity management, part standardization, or procurement savings measurement
  • Experience in high-rate manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial companies

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
