Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Revit Structural Drafter to produce high-quality, coordinated structural drawings for light-gauge steel (CFS) and wood-framed buildings. The successful candidate will create permit-ready construction documents and construction-ready shop drawings while working closely with structural engineers, architects, and project teams. Strong proficiency in Revit and a solid understanding of light-gauge steel and wood-framed structural systems are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate 3D structural models in Autodesk Revit for light-gauge steel (CFS/LGS) and wood-framed buildings.
- Produce permit-ready structural drawings including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and notes that meet applicable building codes and jurisdiction requirements.
- Create construction-ready shop drawings, connection details, framing layouts, and fabrication drawings for light-gauge steel and wood systems.
- Coordinate structural models and drawings with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to resolve clashes and maintain model integrity.
- Generate and update framing plans, shear wall layouts, header/beam schedules, hold-down and anchorage details, and typical connection details.
- Apply company standards, templates, families, and detailing practices consistently across projects.
- Support modular and panelized construction workflows when applicable, including panel layouts, connection detailing, and coordination with manufacturing/fabrication teams.
- Perform basic quantity take-offs and assist with material schedules as required.
- Incorporate engineer mark-ups, redlines, and RFI responses promptly and accurately.
- Maintain drawing revision control, issue logs, and project documentation.
- Participate in internal model reviews, quality checks, and coordination meetings.
- Assist in developing and refining Revit families, templates, and standard details for light-gauge steel and wood framing.
