Core Services Team | Gdansk

Do you want to shape the cloud platform behind a global logistics company? Blue Water Shipping is well into its digital transformation – becoming a product-driven organisation with modern, optimised IT. We are now looking for an IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our Core Services Team and help us run a stable, scalable and secure hybrid infrastructure, with a growing focus on cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).

What you will do

  • Design, build and operate our cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure – from networking and identity to backup, monitoring and cost optimisation
  • Run and develop our Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environment – host pools, images, user profiles, scaling and end-user performance
  • Manage servers, networks and storage across our hybrid on-prem and cloud estate to ensure high performance and availability
  • Automate deployments and routine tasks with scripting and Infrastructure as Code
  • Integrate new IT systems smoothly into our existing infrastructure
  • Apply security best practices in close collaboration with our IT Security team
  • Act as 2nd and 3rd level escalation point for the IT Service Desk and solve complex issues
  • Join cross-team workgroups on deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting complex systems

What you bring

You are driven by technology, curious and self-motivated. You enjoy technical discussions with people at every level of IT expertise, understand the needs of the business, and like designing solutions that follow industry standards.

  • 5+ years’ experience working with enterprise infrastructure
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or similar virtual desktop solutions, such as Citrix
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure platforms, including Windows Server and Intune
  • Experience designing and implementing infrastructure solutions
  • Scripting and automation skills, e.g. PowerShell – a strong plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and fluent English
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Your team

You will join Core Services – a team of 8 IT Infrastructure Specialists in Denmark, Poland & India, who work closely together to keep Blue Water Shipping running securely. The team covers a broad technology stack: Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Microsoft Intune and Autopilot in the cloud, alongside on-prem VMware, Windows Server, Citrix and SAN storage.

You will be based at our office in Gdansk, with occasional travel days to our office in Esbjerg.

What we offer

You will join an ambitious IT department in a company in rapid digital development. We value employee well-being – and having fun while we reach our common goals is part of our culture.

  • An informal and flexible working environment
  • Plenty of responsibility and challenges with the latest cloud technology
  • Relevant courses, training and certifications
  • Opportunities to grow personally and professionally
  • A strong community where teamwork comes first
  • An important role in a growing international company

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
