The posting

BM-Gulvservice ApS is looking for a motivated Floor Layer to join our team working with the installation, renovation and finishing of wooden floors.

Your primary responsibility will be practical flooring work at customer sites. We are particularly interested in applicants with good mechanical understanding who can also help maintain our equipment, identify faults and carry out minor mechanical repairs when needed.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Measure and prepare work areas and subfloors.
  • Cut, fit and install wooden flooring.
  • Sand and renovate existing wooden floors.
  • Prepare surfaces and apply finishing treatments.
  • Check the quality of completed work, including joints, levels and surface finish.
  • Operate flooring machinery and carry out routine equipment checks and maintenance.
  • Identify common mechanical faults and perform minor repairs or adjustments at customer sites, within your competence and according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Report faults requiring specialist repair and keep tools and equipment in good working condition.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a practical or technical background and an interest in quality flooring work.
  • Works accurately with measurements, materials and tools.
  • Has good mechanical understanding and practical skills in equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Can approach mechanical problems systematically and recognise when specialist assistance is required.
  • Is reliable, takes responsibility and works well with colleagues.
  • Can communicate in English and understand work and safety instructions.

Previous experience with wooden flooring is an advantage. Relevant technical training and practical skills gained in another field will also be considered.

Training in our flooring methods and familiarisation with our specific equipment will be provided according to your background.
