POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager of Nourishing at Home Program and Research Lead oversees the strategic development, implementation, operations, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the Nourishing at Home program within the Teaching Kitchen at Boston Medical Center. This role leads a multimodal Food is Medicine initiative that integrates nutritionally tailored food support, culinary nutrition education, health-related social needs programming, and community partnerships into clinical care delivery. The position is responsible for program operations, quality improvement activities, research and evaluation efforts, grant-related deliverables, and cross-sector collaboration with healthcare providers, community organizations, researchers, vendors, and institutional stakeholders. Working with a high degree of independence, this role guides program activities and contributes to evidence generation and innovation in Food is Medicine care models.

Schedule: Full Time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the day-to-day management, strategic oversight, and operational execution of the Nourishing at Home program across pediatric and adult populations, including patient referrals, enrollment processes, food procurement, vendor coordination, delivery logistics, and program documentation. (30% of time)
  • Develop, implement, and maintain program infrastructure, standard operating procedures, operational workflows, quality improvement processes, and compliance activities to ensure adherence to organizational policies, grant requirements, and program standards. (20% of time)
  • Direct program evaluation and translational research activities related to Food is Medicine interventions, including study implementation, data collection, outcome measurement, and assessment of patient experience, healthcare utilization, and community impact. (20% of time)
  • Collaborate with investigators, analysts, healthcare providers, community partners, and institutional stakeholders to support research design, implementation science initiatives, dissemination efforts, and integration of program activities within clinical and community settings. (10% of time)
  • Manage program reporting and performance monitoring by utilizing electronic health record data, survey tools, claims data, and program metrics to track outcomes, support decision-making, and satisfy reporting requirements. (10% of time)
  • Contribute to grant-supported activities through participation in budget forecasting, resource allocation, grant deliverables, manuscript development, conference abstracts, presentations, grant proposals, and other dissemination materials. (5% of time)
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, onboarding, workflow guidance, and coordination for program staff, trainees, research assistants, and students while supporting collaboration across program activities. (5% of time)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field and a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in clinical team management, community health, or communications.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation Range:

$83,000.00- $120,500.00

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
