The posting

Behind every identified performance is data — and behind that data are systems, tools and people working to make sure music usage is accurately understood and ultimately supports royalty distribution. As an Analyst, Digital Identification, you’ll combine analytical thinking, technical skills and music industry knowledge to support BMI’s performance identification production cycle. You’ll work with data from a variety of sources, execute technical workflows, analyze identification results and help uncover opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency and identification rates. This role sits at the intersection of data, technology and music. You’ll work with customized applications, reporting tools and data assets; partner with teams across Distribution and Tech; troubleshoot issues; and help turn complex information into insights that support business decisions. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, solving technical problems, spotting patterns and continuously looking for better ways to get the right music identified. Maintains BMI’s Digital Audio Distribution Dashboard (DADD) to identify trends in consumption and identification rates. Works with Senior Data Analysts to evolve as the business developments require. Generates and analyzes established KPI reports for all key non-digital markets including terrestrial radio, live concert, airlines, and commercial background music services. Synthesizes, summarizes, and communicates findings to departmental leadership to aid in prioritization and resource planning efforts.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
