Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Vice President, POM Product Specialist for our Loan Entablements platform. This role is located in our New York, NY offices.

Join BNY’s Loans Enablement Platform team and help shape the future of product innovation across lending, digital assets, and intelligent workflow transformation. We’re looking for commercially minded product professionals who can turn strategic opportunities into scalable platform capabilities, with particular interest in experience across loans, tokenisation, blockchain, and AI.

This role is ideal for a product professional with strong experience in product ownership, strategic backlog management, and cross-functional delivery within a complex platform environment. The successful candidate will own a defined product area or capability set and be responsible for setting backlog direction, driving prioritization, and managing dependencies across business and technology teams to deliver high-impact platform outcomes. The role requires strong commercial judgment, clear product thinking, and the ability to translate strategic goals into well-defined requirements and executable delivery priorities.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: • Own and actively manage the product backlog for a defined product area or platform capability, ensuring priorities are aligned to strategic objectives, business value, user needs, and delivery capacity. • Set backlog direction and drive prioritization decisions across competing demands, making clear trade-offs to optimize business outcomes and execution focus. • Document, define, and refine business and product requirements, translating strategic priorities and stakeholder needs into clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery artifacts. • Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to ensure backlog items are sufficiently defined, sequenced appropriately, and ready for execution. • Identify, manage, and help resolve cross-functional dependencies across product, technology, operations, and control functions to enable successful delivery against priorities. • Partner with stakeholders across business, engineering, operations, risk, legal, and compliance to align on scope, sequencing, and implementation approach. • Contribute to roadmap development and help shape product direction through a strong understanding of platform opportunities, workflow improvement needs, and market developments. • Evaluate new features, strategic enhancements, and modernization opportunities through a commercial, strategic, and execution-focused lens. • Support the development of business cases and recommendations for prioritization, investment, and product evolution. • Use data, user insight, workflow analysis, and operational feedback to improve product outcomes and inform prioritization decisions. • Ensure product execution is aligned with governance, risk, legal, compliance, and regulatory expectations. • Monitor developments across loans, tokenisation, blockchain, and AI and help translate relevant market and technology trends into actionable platform opportunities.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Meaningful experience in product management, product ownership, business analysis, or platform delivery. • Strong experience owning product backlogs and driving prioritization in agile or iterative delivery environments. • Proven ability to define product requirements and translate complex business needs into clear, executable delivery outcomes. • Experience managing cross-functional dependencies and coordinating delivery across multiple stakeholder groups. • Strong commercial judgment and the ability to assess value, feasibility, risk, and execution trade-offs. • Effective stakeholder management skills across business, technology, and control functions. • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications: • Experience in financial services, with strong preference for loans or adjacent domain expertise. • Familiarity with platform transformation, workflow digitization, or product modernization in regulated environments. • Exposure to tokenisation, blockchain / distributed ledger technology, and AI use cases in financial services. • Understanding of governance, regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements relevant to product delivery.

What will make you stand out: • Demonstrated experience owning backlog direction and driving prioritization in a complex platform or product environment. • Ability to manage dependencies, align stakeholders, and maintain execution momentum across a cross-functional delivery model. • Ability to connect product decisions to commercial outcomes, strategic value, and platform evolution. • Strong domain curiosity and practical understanding of innovation themes shaping the future of financial services. • Confidence influencing stakeholders, managing trade-offs, and delivering outcomes in a fast-moving environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
