The posting

Key purpose:

In this role, you will focus on selling dimension data's breadth of data centre services, including consulting, architecture, and support services.

Working closely with our team of data centre solution architects, you will help clients map out a detailed data centre journey and ensure that the company is best positioned to take them on that journey.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • As a data centre sales specialist, you will play an integral part in taking our broader value proposition to market by working collaboratively within the dimension data organization.
  • Your responsibilities will include client relationship building, account strategy planning, team coordination and cooperation, client presentations, sales cycle management, business development, proposal creation, sales pipeline development, sales forecasting, opportunity cycle management, contract renewals, vendor and partner engagement, and market feedback/intelligence.
  • Focus on selling the company breadth of data centre services, including consulting, architecture, and support services.
  • Working closely with our team of data centre solution architects, you will help clients map out a detailed data centre journey and ensure that the company is best positioned to take them on that journey.

Requirements:

  • To be considered for this role, you must have at least 5 years of sales experience and expertise and/or certifications in HPE and Dell Technologies.
  • Possess a track record for closing deals with key technology partners, which include Dell Technologies, HPe, VMware, Nutanix, veritas, and Veeam (not exclusively).
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or a related field required
  • 6+ years of experience in IT sales and/or management preferred.
  • Experience with data center design and implementation a plus.
  • Must have 6+ years of experience in a professional IT services sales environment.
  • Must possess knowledge of data center infrastructure and operations, with an understanding of the technical components that comprise data center systems.
