The posting

Key purpose:

A Change Management framework detailing the systematic approach to transitioning affected employees and functions has been developed. The organisation has 9 active shaft operations plus a central office environment. The overall expectation from the person in this role is that he/she uses this framework to develop transition plans per Shaft factoring the role and interdependent functioning of the central environment into the equation, moving each from a current to a future state in relation to the project objective. It is important to note that a one-size-fits-all change management approach is not favoured, but rather the development of individual transition plans based on the different contextual realities at play. For this reason, it is imperative that the person in this role is a seasoned change management professional with extensive implementation exposure to multiple change management models and approaches.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Serve as the onsite, day-to-day manager and coordinator of all project-related change activities.
  • Build solid working relationships with the Shaft and Central Leadership Teams through regular onsite engagements.
  • Continuously assess the change readiness of multiple environments and implement interventions to close measured gaps.
  • Navigate and/or minimize barriers to change.
  • Identify unique Shaft-level CM approaches.
  • Assist Shafts in implementing change activities
  • Document and create mechanisms to share best practices across multiple Shaft Operations.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between key project stakeholders.
  • Deploy and monitor Shaft transition and resistance management plans.
  • Coach, consult, and support Shaft Transition Teams.
  • Act as sounding board for Shaft transition issues.
  • Build and sustain commitment from key shaft stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and coordinate closing skill gaps through training and other learning activities.
  • Provide regular status updates to the Product Owner and Project Manager
  • Identify change issues and facilitate their resolution through the Product Owner and Project Manager.
  • Communicate project-wide information.
  • Establish, measure, and communicate Project related change management metrics.
  • Advise leadership on CM issues.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Organisational Psychology.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Organisational Psychology/ Industrial Psychology/Organisational Development
  • At least 10 - 15 years relevant experience of which 5 years must have been at a senior management level.
  • Significant and proven experience leading multi-function, multi-locational transformation/change programmes, with high complexity.
  • Strategic consulting skills coupled with significant experience developing and implementing transformational/change strategies in a labour-intensive production environment.
  • Track-record of implementing various change models.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
