Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineering Leader to join the ICBM Program Team in Hill Air Force Base, UT or Layton, UT.

The InterContinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Minuteman III is looking for a motivated, talented engineering leader to join the Boeing team in this exciting business area. The selected engineering leader’s responsibilities will include engineering execution of sustainment efforts, technical supervision of engineering staff, and technical execution of multiple ICBM sustainment programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage employees performing activities within multiple (2 or more) engineering disciplines
  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals
  • Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
  • Manage, develop, and motivate employees

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as a part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/process management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
  • 8+ years of related work experience and a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical education

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Master’s degree in systems engineering
  • Verifiable work experience as a technical lead or project lead
  • INCOSE certifications
  • MBSE experience or certifications
