JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and business plans to achieve the company's sales targets, revenue growth, and profitability objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop customer relationships with construction companies, contractors, builders, renovation firms, wholesalers, and retailers.
  • Oversee the sales and promotion of hardware products, hand tools, power tools, fasteners, plumbing supplies, electrical accessories, and building materials.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the sales team by setting sales targets, allocating customer accounts, monitoring performance, and providing sales guidance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business, improve customer satisfaction, and secure long-term supply contracts.
  • Conduct market research and analyse competitor pricing, customer demand, and industry trends to identify opportunities for business expansion.
  • Prepare and review sales quotations, commercial proposals, tenders, and supply contracts, and negotiate pricing and payment terms within the company's approved policies.
  • Monitor sales performance, revenue, profit margins, and customer purchasing trends, and implement strategies to improve sales productivity.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, logistics, and finance departments to ensure product availability, accurate order processing, timely deliveries, and proper payment follow-up.
  • Develop sales forecasts, prepare budgets, and monitor departmental expenses to ensure effective resource utilisation and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new hardware products, expand the customer base, and develop new market segments to increase the company's market share.
  • Handle major customer enquiries, resolve escalated complaints, and ensure that customer requirements are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer accounts, quotations, contracts, and business development opportunities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Qualification is required field.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in machinery design, maintenance, and optimization in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and tools, including design, operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in hardware trading, building materials, construction supplies, or wholesale distribution will be an advantage.
  • Proven ability to develop customer accounts, secure supply contracts, and achieve sales targets. Understanding of product specifications, pricing structures, stock availability, and customer requirements.
  • Familiarity with the construction, renovation, and building materials supply industries will be an advantage.
  • Understanding of receiving, storing, handling, and dispatching hardware products, tools, and building materials.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with various departments and report findings.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • 2A/2B/ Class 3 preferred Preferably possess own transport. (Required to travel from time to time)
  • Willing to do rotating shift and multi-tasking is required
  • Able to work long hours and available especially on weekends and public holidays in line with business needs, the flexibility to work late evenings with prolonged period of standing (strictly off day on weekdays)
  • Ability to work under pressure and fit into work culture
