At Boll & Branch, we believe luxury starts with care—for our customers, our communities, our teams, and our craft. Our teams bring this belief to life by delivering exceptional hospitality, creating personalized shopping experiences, and helping customers discover products that transform the way they sleep.

As a Part-Time Client Advisor, you'll serve as a trusted guide throughout the customer journey. You'll build meaningful relationships through consultative selling, thoughtful design recommendations, and genuine hospitality while contributing to the overall success of the store. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, thrives in a team environment, and is passionate about delivering memorable customer experiences.

This position is located at The Street in Chestnut Hill, MA.

Responsibilities

Deliver Elevated Hospitality & Customer Experience

  • Welcome every customer with warmth, authenticity, and genuine hospitality.
  • Create memorable shopping experiences by listening to customers' needs and providing thoughtful, personalized recommendations.
  • Deliver elevated experiences through our in-store, virtual, and in-home design consultation program.
  • Build lasting customer relationships through proactive clienteling and follow-up to encourage repeat business.
  • Become an expert in Boll & Branch products, materials, craftsmanship, and sleep solutions to confidently educate customers.
  • Assist customers in designing their spaces based on their sleeping habits, style preferences, and lifestyle needs.

Drive Sales & Business Performance

  • Achieve and exceed individual sales goals while contributing to overall store performance.
  • Support a collaborative selling culture by partnering with teammates to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Identify opportunities to expand sales through product education, cross-selling, and personalized recommendations.
  • Participate in community-driven initiatives such as store events, designer partnerships, and other activities that strengthen our local brand presence.

Maintain Visual Excellence & Operational Standards

  • Ensure the store is always guest-ready—clean, organized, beautifully presented, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Support daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, register reconciliation, and operational routines.
  • Execute visual merchandising direction and maintain product presentation with attention to detail.
  • Uphold company safety, security, and loss prevention procedures while protecting store assets and inventory.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, steaming merchandise, and maintaining shared spaces to ensure an exceptional customer environment.

Support Design & In-Home Services

  • Participate in in-home appointments and installations, creating a seamless customer experience.
  • Provide thoughtful product recommendations that complement customers' spaces and sleep needs.
  • Help ensure every design consultation reflects the elevated hospitality and attention to detail that defines the Boll & Branch experience.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of retail sales experience, preferably in specialty retail, luxury retail, home furnishings, hospitality, or another customer-focused environment. Equivalent experience and transferable skills will also be considered.
  • Passion for hospitality and creating meaningful customer relationships.
  • Experience with consultative selling, clienteling, or delivering personalized customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to build rapport and engage customers naturally.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets), POS systems, and other retail technology.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders or step stools, and perform in-home services, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.

The above is a comprehensive, but not exhaustive, description of requirements and expectations that may evolve over time based on business needs. You must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Why You'll Love Working Here

At Boll & Branch, we believe in investing in our people as much as we invest in our products. You'll join a team that values care, collaboration, curiosity, and craftsmanship while building meaningful relationships with customers every day. Whether you're helping someone improve their sleep or creating an unforgettable shopping experience, your work will have a lasting impact.

The annual base salary range for this role is $19 to $22 (new hires are typically brought into the organization between the minimum to midpoint of the salary range posted depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role). It is important to note that our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size, industry, and the market and are one part of the total rewards that we provide. Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, scope of the role, and internal peer benchmarking. In addition, while we are not commission based, there is an opportunity to earn a monthly-based bonus on store performance.

Studies show that women and people of color often hesitate to apply for jobs unless they meet all the listed qualifications. At Boll & Branch, we seek the best candidate, who may come from a less traditional background. We consider any combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience that meets the minimum requirements. If you're interested, we encourage you to think broadly about your background and skill set for the role.

About Boll & Branch:

At Boll & Branch, we don’t make bedding like everyone else. We make it better.

In 2014, our founders, Scott and Missy Tannen, challenged every conventional standard in the textile industry, creating a new supply chain that prioritized thread quality, not thread count. By investing exclusively in 100% organic raw materials from the start, we became the first bedding company ever to be Fair Trade Certified. Today, we keep five commitments at the heart of everything we do. We are:

  • Cultivators of the Highest Quality Threads
  • Pioneers in 100% Organic Cotton
  • Free from Toxins at Every Step
  • 100% Traceable from Farm to Finish
  • Committed to Fair and Ethical Treatment for All

Boll & Branch has over 150 employees, and we are headquartered in Summit, NJ, with a second office in New York, NY and a dedicated Photo Studio in New Providence, NJ. In 2019, to propel our growth, we raised $100M from L Catterton, a leading consumer goods private equity fund. We are also progressively expanding our retail and wholesale footprint. While the heart of our business lies in the direct-to-consumer online model, we also have several retail stores around the country as well as partnerships with Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
