Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

Bij BOSS paints zoeken we een Onderzoeker Verf die complexe R&D-activiteiten in handen neemt met een scherp oog voor innovatie, ontwikkeling en onderzoek.

Jouw missie? Nieuwe kennis opbouwen rond verftechnologie en deze vertalen naar innovatieve, kwalitatieve en duurzame verfproducten. Je draagt actief bij aan de ontwikkeling, optimalisatie en vernieuwing van onze verven en coatings, zodat ze vandaag én morgen voldoen aan de verwachtingen van onze klanten en aan de ambities van BOSS paints.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

  • Je neemt autonoom complexe R&D-projecten in handen rond verfontwikkeling, productverbetering en nieuwe technologieën.
  • Je verdiept je in relevante literatuur, onderzoekt nieuwe grondstoffen en technologieën en vertaalt deze kennis naar concrete toepassingen.
  • Je voert laboproeven uit, analyseert resultaten kritisch en formuleert conclusies en aanbevelingen.
  • Je ontwikkelt en beheert onderzoeksstrategieën en bepaalt zelfstandig de volgende stappen binnen jouw projecten.
  • Je voert statistische analyses uit en gebruikt data om onderbouwde beslissingen te nemen.
  • Je zorgt voor een correcte rapportering en kennisborging van onderzoeksresultaten.
  • Je werkt actief mee aan de optimalisatie van bestaande producten, processen en werkmethoden.
  • Je geeft input voor de productstrategie en het onderzoeksprogramma op korte en lange termijn.
  • Je deelt je expertise binnen het R&D-team en werkt nauw samen met technische experts, laboranten, productie, kwaliteitsdienst en productmanagement.
  • Je onderhoudt contacten met leveranciers, externe labo's, onderzoeksinstellingen en andere kennispartners.
  • Je bewaakt de voortgang van je projecten en stuurt laboranten inhoudelijk aan waar nodig.
  • Je rapporteert aan de R&D manager.

Jouw profiel

  • Je beschikt over een masterdiploma in een STEM-richting (chemie, biochemie, materiaalkunde, fysica of gelijkaardig). Een PhD is een pluspunt.
  • Schoolverlaters met een sterke wetenschappelijke interesse komen eveneens in aanmerking.
  • Je hebt een uitgesproken interesse in verftechnologie, productontwikkeling en innovatie.
  • Je beschikt over sterke analytische vaardigheden en werkt nauwkeurig en gestructureerd.
  • Je denkt conceptueel en gaat graag op zoek naar vernieuwende oplossingen.
  • Je kan zelfstandig werken en tegelijkertijd vlot samenwerken met diverse stakeholders.
  • Kennis van statistiek is een belangrijke troef.
  • Je communiceert vlot in het Nederlands en kan je goed uitdrukken in het Engels en/of Frans.
  • Je bent vertrouwd met digitale tools zoals Office; ervaring met ERP-systemen is een pluspunt.
  • Je bent gedreven door data, kennis én je experimenteert graag met AI en programmeertalen (zoals Python). Ervaring hierin is een grote troef!
