Vi vill ge fler företag och organisationer möjligheten att ta in extern kompetens i sina styrelser, dels för utvecklingens- och tillväxtens skull i företaget men även för att skapa ett hållbart näringsliv och samhälle. Tittar vi på de styrelsekartläggningar som årligen görs ligger rikssnittet för andelen kvinnliga ledamöter i styrelsen runt 20%, utlandsfödda ännu lägre och mixen överlag är väldigt homogen. I Dalarna ligger kvinnlig representation i styrelserna om ca 18%.

Ett första steg är att se styrelsen i bolagen som en strategisk resurs och därefter tillsätta en styrelse med andra egenskaper och kompetenser än vad som redan finns i bolaget. Att tänka mångfald är verkligen en rekommendation då olika infallsvinklar, erfarenheter och idéer kommer utveckla företaget positivt, där även resultate på sista raden hänger med!
