The posting

As a Technical Program Manager Co-Op within the Boston Dynamics PMO, you will work alongside experienced program leaders to help deliver products from concept through release. You will support the product line integrated schedule, partner with engineering teams, and gain direct experience in how complex robotics programs are planned, tracked, and delivered.

We are looking for a curious, organized, and self motivated student who enjoys understanding how technical systems fit together. You will balance attention to detail with an eagerness to see the bigger picture, and you will learn how to build alignment across many teams and priorities.

Boston Dynamics is a world leader in mobile robots, tackling some of the toughest robotics challenges. For years, our awe-inspiring viral videos on YouTube have shown the world what remarkably capable robots can do. Now we are quickly becoming a recognized leader in automation solutions for industrial applications and warehouse logistics.

How you will make an impact:

  • Support technical program managers in building and maintaining project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Track progress across engineering, product management, design, and QA teams, and flag schedule risks and dependencies early.
  • Prepare status updates, presentations, and summaries that present complex technical information clearly for both technical and non technical audiences.
  • Help identify risks and issues, and assist in developing mitigation plans.
  • Attend and help facilitate program meetings, including capturing notes, decisions, and action items and following up with owners.
  • Maintain program documentation and dashboards using tools such as Google Workspace and Jira.
  • Contribute to process improvements and assist with post project reviews and lessons learned sessions.
  • Take ownership of a defined project or workstream over the course of your co op term, with guidance from a mentor.

What You bring:

  • Currently pursuing a BS or higher in Engineering or a technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Physics, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill technical information into concise, easily understood formats.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • A passion for problem solving and a drive to ask questions and understand the big picture.
  • Interpersonal skills that support effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Comfort learning new tools quickly. Familiarity with Google Workspace is expected, and exposure to Jira or other Atlassian products is a plus.

Nice to have:

  • Prior internship, co op, project team, or leadership experience that involved coordinating people or deliverables.
  • Coursework or project experience in robotics, embedded systems, or hardware and software integration.
  • Exposure to project management methods such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  • Interest in production and manufacturing operations.

What you will gain:

  • Hands on experience in how a leading robotics company plans and delivers products that combine complex hardware and software.
  • Regular exposure to senior leaders and cross functional stakeholders.
  • Mentorship from experienced program managers.
  • A strong foundation for a career in technical program management.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
