Outside Sales Representative – Emergency Response
Location: Sumner, WA | Pierce County & South King County
Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 Base + Uncapped Commission
Earning Potential: $200,000+ for Top Performers
About the Opportunity
Are you a competitive, driven outside sales professional who thrives on winning, overcoming objections, and creating opportunities where others see obstacles?
We're seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to join a growing property restoration organization as an Emergency Response Coordinator (ERC). This is a unique opportunity for a proven sales hunter who wants independence, significant earning potential, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
This is not your typical 9-to-5 sales job. You'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, responding to fire and property emergencies, and helping residential and commercial property owners take the first steps toward recovery.
We need someone who is hungry, resourceful, confident, and comfortable operating in competitive, high-pressure environments. The right person knows how to build trust quickly, navigate difficult conversations, and close business while treating people with genuine compassion.
If you're motivated by results, enjoy being in control of your own success, and want an opportunity with uncapped earning potential, this could be the role for you.
What You'll Do
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout Pierce County and South King County.
- Monitor emergency notification systems and respond quickly to fire and property damage incidents, including evenings, overnight hours, and weekends.
- Engage homeowners, commercial property owners, and decision-makers following emergencies to introduce restoration services and secure signed agreements.
- Build relationships with fire departments, first responders, insurance professionals, property managers, and community stakeholders.
- Develop creative strategies to generate leads, overcome obstacles, and establish a competitive advantage in the market.
- Manage your own territory, sales activities, and pipeline with a high level of independence and accountability.
- Navigate emotionally charged situations with professionalism, empathy, confidence, and sound judgment.
- Work collaboratively with restoration and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from initial customer contact to project execution.
- Maintain accurate records of sales opportunities, customer interactions, and follow-up activities.
- Demonstrate consistent accountability for emergency response activity and sales performance.
What We're Looking For
- Proven outside sales experience is required, with demonstrated success in prospecting, generating leads, and closing business.
- A strong hunter mentality with the motivation to pursue opportunities independently.
- Experience working in competitive, commission-driven sales environments.
- Confidence approaching new prospects, handling rejection, and overcoming objections.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to develop creative solutions and work without constant supervision.
- Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to balance empathy with assertiveness.
- Ability to think quickly, adapt to changing circumstances, and remain composed under pressure.
- Willingness to respond to emergency situations outside traditional business hours.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, mobile technology, and sales tracking tools.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Experience in restoration, construction, insurance, property management, or emergency services is a plus, but not required. We are primarily looking for a proven salesperson with the drive and adaptability to succeed.
What We Offer
- Competitive Base Salary: $80,000–$90,000 annually.
- Uncapped Commission: Significant earning potential directly tied to your results.
- High Income Potential: Top performers have the opportunity to earn $200,000+ annually.
- Independence & Flexibility: Manage your daily sales activities without being tied to a traditional office schedule.
- Meaningful Work: Help families and businesses navigate unexpected property emergencies.
- Established Operational Support: Work alongside experienced restoration professionals who handle project execution.
- Professional Development: Receive industry training and support to develop expertise in property restoration and emergency response.
Territory & Schedule
This is a field-based position supporting restoration operations throughout Pierce County and portions of South King County.
Ideal candidates will reside near the Pierce/King County line, including Federal Way, Auburn, Edgewood, Sumner, Lake Tapps, or surrounding communities.
While this position offers flexibility in managing daily sales activities, emergency response availability is essential. Fires and property emergencies do not follow a traditional schedule, and successful candidates must be prepared to respond when opportunities arise.
Ready to Take Control of Your Earning Potential?
If you're a driven outside sales professional who thrives on competition, values independence, and wants the opportunity to earn significant income while helping people during difficult circumstances, we encourage you to apply.
We're looking for someone who doesn't wait for opportunities—but goes out and creates them.
