The posting

Company Overview

BotCity brings governance to the code AI writes. AI turned asking into code, and every business user is now a developer. The Python they generate runs on corporate workstations outside any pipeline, inventory, or approval flow, and nothing in the enterprise stack was built to see it. BotCity Sentinel governs that code where it runs: a script-level inventory of what executes, where, and by whom, contextual policies that allow, alert, or block, and a remediation loop where the author makes the first fix. Security asks whether code is malicious. Governance asks whether it should run, here, by this person. We built Sentinel to own the second question. Today it's Python. Tomorrow it's every line of code AI writes.

BotCity serves 1,000+ teams in 70+ countries, including customers as Bayer and LG. We raised a $12M Series A led by Four Rivers, with participation from Y Combinator, SoftBank, and founders and investors including Lew Cirne (New Relic), Rod Johnson (SpringSource), and Walter Kortschak (Summit Partners and Firestreak Ventures). G2 named BotCity one of the world's top 25 emerging platforms.

We are a remote company with teams across the US, Canada and LATAM. Small team, large customers, a category forming around us. If you want real ownership over a problem that matters, we should talk.

Role Overview

The UX Designer’s mission is to design and ship intuitive, consistent end-to-end experiences for BotCity Orchestrator, grounded in real user needs and validated with data. This role will deliver high-fidelity, developer-ready interfaces across the platform, agent and web portal, help build BotCity's first Design System, and keep improving existing features while supporting discovery with Product. We're looking for a hands-on, proactive designer with strong craft and technical depth who moves fast, brings solutions along with problems, and seeks feedback to keep improving. This role reports to the UX Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end: from initial sketches and wireframes to high-fidelity, responsive prototypes across the product modules.
  • Review implemented features before release to ensure fidelity and consistency.
  • Define success metrics for each design initiative and track impact after launch using product analytics and user feedback.
  • Ensure accessibility and usability best practices are applied across all deliverables.
  • Produce high-fidelity screens and detailed specifications in Figma (English and pt-BR), ensuring the development team has everything needed for precise implementation.
  • Help build and evolve BotCity's Design System (components, patterns, and tokens etc) in partnership with the UX Lead and the front-end team.
  • Analyze existing functionalities and propose UX improvements to reduce friction and enhance user efficiency.
  • Build interactive prototypes to test usability and communicate complex flows to stakeholders.
  • Support discovery alongside the UX Lead and the PM: run qualitative interviews, map user journeys, and validate hypotheses and prototypes with B2B clients when needed.
  • Transform findings into clear UX artifacts (User Journey Maps, Personas) and documented insights shared with the team.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure design solutions align with technical constraints and business goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+years) as a UX/Product Designer working end-to-end on digital products.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards applied to real products.
  • Experience partnering with front-end engineers, reviewing implementation and ensuring design fidelity.
  • Strong experience in user testing, whether remote or A/B Testing.
  • Strong UI and high-fidelity prototyping in Figma, at a level that supports end-to-end delivery.
  • Ability to design responsive interfaces across web and mobile (where applicable).
  • Experience building or contributing to Design Systems (components, patterns, tokens, libraries).
  • Comfortable supporting discovery: conducting qualitative interviews and usability testing (remote or A/B), and mapping Critical User Journeys that surface friction points and opportunities.
  • Ability to translate findings into clear insights, opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Experience with Design Thinking and Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency with UX/usability tools (Figma, UserTesting, Maze).
  • Experience working with MS Office/Excel, Google Suite, Notion.
  • Proactive and accountable owner who moves fast with good judgment.
  • Customer-obsessed and detail-oriented, without losing sight of the big picture.
  • Prior experience in an early-stage, high-growth, and fast-paced startup environment.
  • Clear communicator and collaborative teammate who welcomes feedback.
  • Portuguese - Fluent.
  • English - Advanced.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support events and meet the team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with B2B products.
  • Familiarity with technical products (developer tooling, automation, Python, or AI) is a plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
