Working collaboratively with clients in finance, audit, and compliance organizations, we co-create integrated solutions that connect people, processes, and technologies to navigate accounting, reporting, and compliance matters.

Role Overview

This is a predominantly hands-on role (approximately 90% execution) focused on building, testing, and maintaining software that supports automation projects and AI-enabled workflows within finance environments.

You will work closely with other developers and managers who lead solution design and client advisory. Your responsibility will be translating business requirements, refined iteratively with clients, into working automation systems and AI-enabled workflows. You will also support the evaluation of AI and automation vendors based on client needs, with your input sought at key decisions.

This role is ideal for an early-career developer who enjoys building more than presenting, wants to grow their craft, and is keen to see their code used in real client implementations across SMEs and larger corporates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, test, debug, and maintain clean, readable code (primarily Python and SQL).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the development and deployment lifecycle
  • Build and enhance features for internal tools and client-facing automation and reporting solutions
  • Develop and deploy web applications on the Azure platform
  • Develop scripts and components for data transformation, validation, and reporting improvement
  • Support system implementations including ETL processes and workflow tools
  • Design, build, and deploy practical AI-enabled workflows, using Azure AI Foundry, Anthropic Claude or similar AI services and GPT-based workflows
  • Use AI programming assistants (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate development, while reviewing and testing all generated code
  • Use version control (Git) and follow team standards for code reviews, branching, and documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and work iteratively with clients, demonstrating early versions, gathering feedback, and refining user interfaces and user experience to ensure successful delivery and adoption

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2 years of experience in software development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language (Python preferred) and version control systems such as Git
  • Understanding of core software development concepts (data structures, APIs, testing, debugging) and working knowledge of SQL and database software (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Hands-on experience with at least one LLM API or AI tool (e.g., Claude, Azure AI Foundry, GPT-based workflows), ideally with some exposure to RAG pipelines and unstructured data — even from a personal project, hackathon, or coursework — is required.
  • Experience with Azure web app development and AI programming assistants (e.g., Claude Code), whether professional or through project work
  • Knowledge of user interface design principles; experience of iterative development with a client is an advantage
  • Exposure to RPA tools (e.g., UiPath) or automation platforms is an advantage
  • Experience with Business-to-Business Software as a Service (B2B SaaS) products is an advantage
  • Experience working with finance data, ERP systems, or reporting environments is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail, clear communication skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative, hybrid environment
