The posting

The Opportunity Joining BPA as a Fire Protection Technician means contributing directly to the design and implementation of systems that protect lives and buildings. You’ll take part in diverse, stimulating projects where your rigour and expertise will make a real difference. Under the supervision of Julien Rivard, Eng. (Director, Fire Protection), this opportunity offers:

Hands-on experience in both the field and design, in a collaborative environment. The chance to develop your technical skills alongside a team of passionate experts. Great flexibility in where you work: Montréal, Longueuil, Laval or Québec City, based on your preference.

Your Day-to-Day Impact

Coordinate, review and design a range of fire protection projects across multiple sectors (institutional, office, commercial, cultural and residential). Design fire protection systems using Revit and AutoCAD. Take part in existing-conditions surveys, drawing production in AutoCAD and Revit, specification writing, cost estimating and construction administration. Contribute to code analysis and produce hydraulic calculations (using HydraCALC). Prepare budget estimates and construction schedules. Work closely with engineers to develop solutions tailored to client needs. Provide technical support for drafting and design.

Your Profile

DEP in Building Drafting or DEC in Building Mechanics, or other relevant training. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in fire protection systems. Proficiency in French (spoken and written). Strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit and Office 365. Strong organizational skills and a collaborative mindset. Excellent written and verbal communication.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
