About the role You will be part of a new 7-person team to implement the SuDS through Streetworks Market. This role is located in the Infrastructure team. As Senior Data Analyst you will support the work of the SuDS through Streetworks Market (SSM) and wider Infrastructure team by managing the data and digital platforms required to deliver this high-profile programme. The SSM will conduct market rounds through which ‘buyers’ – lead local flood authorities, Boroughs and Transport for London – together with ‘suppliers’ – utilities and contractors – trade credits to deliver SuDS projects. Market rounds will be facilitated by a digital SSM Data and Trading Platform, which are the first points of contact for Buyers/Suppliers with the market. Buyers will use the platforms to submit bids (spatially selecting areas and the price they are willing to pay for a credit) and suppliers will submit areas where they are willing to deliver schemes and the price at which they are willing to do so. You will be responsible for developing and managing these key tools, ensuring they remain regularly updated with high-quality data. This will include processing and analysing both spatial and non-spatial data using data science approaches. This role will also oversee the development of a pan-London SuDS Asset Register, which you will manage. Where relevant, you will be responsible for producing innovative, customised and interactive web mapping applications, tools and platforms to display the data and help programme delivery, whilst also generating relevant data analysis and undertaking essential monitoring & evaluation functions. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile programme with significant visibility across City Hall, government and industry. Whether your background is in management of digital and data projects, GIS, infrastructure or a related field, you will be motivated by using data to solve challenging problems, building effective partnerships and delivering tangible outcomes for Londoners.
