The posting

This position is responsible for overseeing inventory accounting, product costing, and gross margin analysis across the distribution business. • Lead month-end and year-end close processes related to cost accounting.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for inventory and cost-related accounts.
  • Reconcile Inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) accounts, investigating and resolving variances discrepancies, and any unusual transactions.
  • Analyze inventory movements and monitor risks related to obsolete, slow-moving, and excess inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, including inventory valuations, capitalization requirements, and cost flow assumptions (FIFO, LIFO, weighted average).
  • Prepare detailed cost reports and margin analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, analysis, and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of cost data used in financial statements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business and IT teams for inventory management and warehouse management system integration initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve inventory discrepancies, integration issues, and process inefficiencies, ensuring data accuracy and operational alignment between NetSuite and the WMS
  • Compile and analyze cost information for procurement, supply chain, operations, and sales teams to support budgeting, cost-control, and process improvement efforts.
  • Support ERP system enhancements, cost module configuration, and data integrity initiatives

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
