Brantsandpatents en Merk-Echt zijn kantoren gespecialiseerd in intellectuele eigendom die cliënten voorzien van advies rond de bescherming van hun innovaties of merken, en deze bescherming vervolgens ook vastlegt. We onderscheiden ons door een sterke klantgerichtheid en responsiviteit. Voor onze merkenafdeling in Antwerpen zijn we op zoek naar een enthousiaste JURIST INTELLECTUELE EIGENDOM.

Als jurist IE speel je een sleutelrol in de bescherming van IE (merken, designs, ...) voor jouw klantportfolio. Je denkt mee met de ondernemer en geeft advies over IE-strategieën. Jij zorgt ervoor dat de intellectuele eigendom van de ondernemer effectief wordt beschermd en treedt op bij inbreuken.

In de dagelijkse praktijk houd je je o.a. bezig met:

  • Het uitvoeren van naam-/merkonderzoeken
  • Het opstellen van classificaties voor merkindieningen
  • Het voeren van oppositie- en doorhalingsprocedures
  • Het adviseren bij inbreuken op merken, modellen, auteursrecht en handelsnaamrechten
  • Het afhandelen van geschillen, bezwaar- en beroepsprocedures
  • Het zijn van een “IE kennisbank”, waarbij collega’s en klanten terecht kunnen met vragen over IE in de breedste zin
  • Het optreden als tussenpersoon voor cliënten die met octrooien te maken krijgen

Kortom, een functie met veel verantwoordelijkheid waarbij het zo goed mogelijk helpen van onze klanten centraal staat. Je werkt bovendien nauw samen met jouw collega-juristen, adviseurs, paralegals én onze octrooiafdeling.

Je werkt vanuit ons kantoor te (centrum) Antwerpen en bent bereid je regelmatig te verplaatsen naar het kantoor in Breda.

Jij hebt of bent...

  • Minstens een diploma in de rechten. Bijkomende opleidingen in IP zijn een grote plus.
  • Minstens 2 jaar relevante ervaring binnen merkenrecht of IP. Ook ervaring binnen de advocatuur zien we als waardevol.
  • Een sterkte interesse in Benelux- en internationaal merkenrecht in de meest brede zin.
  • Vloeiend in het Nederlands en Engels (zowel schriftelijk als gesproken). Kennis van het Frans of andere talen zijn een plus.
  • Klantgericht, proactief en houdt ervan probleemoplossend te werken.
  • In staat om zowel in een team als zelfstandig te werken.
  • Een sterke communicator, met oog voor het commerciële en die erin slaagt complexe materie op een duidelijke manier uit te leggen.
  • De beroepsopleiding BMM afgerond of bent bereid deze te halen.
  • Bij voorkeur ben je woonachtig in Antwerpen centrum zodat je je vlot naar kantoor kan verplaatsen.
