Head of Forward Deployed Engineering

Head of Forward Deployed Engineering Location: Doha, Dubai, or London | Full-time

Breakmark is hiring a Head of Forward Deployed Engineering for an AI company building software for complex operational environments. Its teams work directly with enterprise and government customers, turning fragmented data and difficult real-world problems into systems used in live operations.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role. You’ll own customer deployments from discovery through go-live, write and ship production code, and help a growing team of forward deployed engineers develop strong technical and customer judgment.

What you’ll do

- Work alongside customers to understand their operations and turn ambiguous needs into working software.

- Build focused demos, test ideas early, and ship full-stack features for production use.

- Translate field requirements into clear specifications for engineering teams.

- Decide which customer solutions should become reusable product capabilities.

- Coach engineers on scoping, delivery, customer communication, and technical decisions.

- Partner with product, machine learning, infrastructure, and engineering teams to deliver successful deployments.

What we’re looking for

- 5+ years in forward deployed engineering, field engineering, or a similar customer-facing engineering role.

- Strong full-stack skills with TypeScript and React, plus Python or Node.js.

- Experience shipping production software for customers.

- Confidence working directly with enterprise stakeholders, including on-site when needed.

- The ability to lead and coach others while remaining active in the codebase.

Experience with AI products, enterprise deployments, or operationally complex industries is a plus.
