We are hiring a Compliance Operations Specialist to join our team!
As our Compliance Operations Specialist, you'll run the day-to-day operations of our compliance program and make sure our processes are accurate, efficient, and aligned with regulatory standards across every market we serve. You'll own the KYC, AML, and BSA workflows that keep Breeze safe and auditable as we scale. Reporting to the Head of Compliance.
We're looking for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, wants meaningful ownership, and is excited to build rather than simply maintain.
What You'll Do
- Review and approve user KYC cases.
- Investigate transaction monitoring alerts and escalate suspicious activity.
- Review sanctions and PEP screening alerts.
- Screen crypto wallets and transactions for risk.
- Run enhanced due diligence on high-risk users.
- Support SAR drafting and escalation decisions.
- Respond to information requests from partners, banks, and law enforcement.
- Keep clear, audit-ready case records.
- Suggest improvements to rules, tools, and processes.
- Work with Risk, Fraud, Support, and Product on investigations.
- Support EU compliance obligations, including regulatory filings and AML responsibilities tied to our EU CASP entity.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years in compliance at a fintech, payments, banking, or crypto company.
- Hands-on KYC experience.
- Strong AML knowledge, including BSA/AML and OFAC.
- Transaction monitoring experience.
- Crypto experience, including blockchain analytics tools.
- Sanctions and PEP screening experience.
- Strong attention to detail and clear written communication.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, without an established playbook.
- A builder mentality with a strong bias toward action.
- Excited to use AI and automation to work smarter and rethink existing processes.
- Comfortable getting into the details and doing the work, regardless of seniority.
Nice to Have
- Experience drafting SARs.
- Experience with third-party KYC and fraud platforms.
- Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup.

In-Office Expectations
Employees based in our New York City, NY office follow a hybrid work model and are expected to work from the office three days per week. Employees based in our Singapore office are expected to work on-site five days per week.
In-office expectations may vary slightly depending on role, team, and business needs. Certain roles that require closer cross-functional collaboration or operational support may have additional requirements, which will be discussed during the interview process.
